Re: 18" Baseball Fury
ive reasoned that since this is technically not an action figure that i would not get it. if it was a lot cheaper i probably would not be reasoning this way
Re: 18" Baseball Fury
Sayeth they:
Sideshow Collectibles is proud to bring you the very first in the Pop Culture Shock Collectibles 'The Warriors' Series: Baseball Fury.
...which implies that this is to be series (unless of course they sell so poorly, they scrap the whole line!)
But this makes me question their rationale for starting with a Fury
Would it not have made more sense to release one of the core Warriors first, or am I off in my thinking?
Admittedly, I’m not a statue collector...

Re: 18" Baseball Fury
I think they make the FURIES because it is beleived that they are the most popular. I hear that SWAN will be the next statue (if this sells well).4nik8 wrote: Sayeth they:

Re: 18" Baseball Fury
ya see - i'd at least consider getting a Swan, but not a Fury. And, if a Swan is predicated on the sales of a Fury, then there's one less sale right there, thus less chance of a Swan...LIER ONE wrote: I hear that SWAN will be the next statue (if this sells well).
It's a catch-22 i tell ya!!

Re: 18" Baseball Fury
Not purchasing this. I do not like the pose or the head sculpt. If I am going to pay that much for a 1:4 scale figure, it has to be mind blowing, and this isn't even close.

Re: 18" Baseball Fury
SO the sideshow collectible site says this is sold out. Do you believe them? I don't. This was delayed for a while (still does not have a release date) and I don't think ANYONE here said they were going to buy these. SOOOOOO who bought all of them? Regular statue collectors??What o you think?

Re: 18" Baseball Fury
They're always up on ebay for pre=order purchase. I've seen them up recently at close to $400.
Anything above $50 and i'm not interested.

UK members can pre order the statue at http://www.play.com . The price is £220, which includes delivery. I'll wait few months and then try to get one on Ebay, there's always someone selling those premium format figures for less.

Re: 18" Baseball Fury
I'm with 9th, I want this, but it is about $300 too high for it. I wish it it had a better base. I'd like to see the packaging. I still want to know who bought them all from sideshow direct. I know you can still find them @ comic and toy sites, but those were already purchased. I know they said they would do another statue (I heard SWAN) if this sold well (looks like it did) so it will be interesting to see.
