Well, the crazy thing about eBay is that if people are bidding them up to 87.00, then they're only ripping themselves off.  If I put an item up for auction at $30.00,  and 2 people bid and fight over it until it gets up to $100.00, then is it the sellers fault?

Nope.

On eBay you only pay what you want to.

ebay = uninformed buyers
all they'd have to do is one search on google and they'd pay the toywiz price which is still a rip off.  these are supposed to be $14.99 each.  when toywiz drops their price to $15, i'll buy it otherwise i can live without it.
i don't have the blue faced fury nor a orange faced one but i certainly haven't lost any sleep over it.

you guys wait and see, toywiz is gonna get stuck with 1000 of these.  the warriors is cool but its a tiny frachise that gets very little attention.

added:
you know whats even more messed up?
i'm pretty sure thats toywiz's personal ebay account.
i know they have 2, one for the business, they other is a personal for shill bidding.

how this works is, they create a stir by making the item sell at a very high price.
when someone see one of them go for $50+ and you're like,
"i'm totally buying a bunch of these, i'm gonna get paid."
so you end up buying 6 sets of these thinking you're gonna come out on top, only to end up selling them at the same price as toywiz is selling them for....minus the ebay listing fees, as well as the paypal fees.  basically you take a loss, toywiz gets to move their inventory and no one's the wiser.

i would say they got a clever scheme, if it wasn't so damn obvious.

Now that's against eBay policy.  Haterist- if you've got the time, you can search completed listings for eBay auctions, using the search 'purple face fury' or whatever will work, and if you can come up w/ a good 3-4 auctions that have obviously the same bidder bidding up items that are being sold by the Toywiz main account, we can report that to eBay and bust some heads.  I'm all for anyone making a buck, but that's just exploiting the system, if that's what they're doing.

Skum.

as much as i'd like to do all thats, its pointless.
they have a brick and mortar store which means they have employees that he could also have bidding on stuff.  not to mention calling in a few favors from friends to come and bump up an auction.  this is nothing new, people have been doing this on ebay since day one.    this is how they create an artifical demand for something whether there is demand or not.

the problem is, ebay has no actual penalties.  they have no real way to enforce their so called "rules".  its not like they're the cops/FBI, all they can do is give you a slap on the wrist.  even if i did all the leg work to bust toywiz, they won't do much of anything other than temporarily suspend their acct for a few days.  thats all they're going to do.  toywiz is considered a "power seller" meaning they generates $$$ for ebay/paypal, so it would be in their best interest to keep them around as long as possible no matter how bad they are.  ebay is a business and in business all that matters is one thing, $$$$.

what sucks even worse now is you can't even contact people through ebay to give them a heads up anymore unless you're in a transaction with them.  its yet another security measure to protect sellers which makes no sense considering sellers are the only one who can actually be crooks on ebay....i know i've never heard of a crooked buyer before.

the reason why i posted to begin with is so that the members here know the deal with toywiz and their unethical business practices but i don't think anyone cares?  they're just blinded by the fact that theres some new warrior figure out.  its doesn't matter to them that they're supporting a business thats celarly trying to rip off the fans.

mezco sold all their figures for $15, even amazon sold them for $15, spencer gifts sold them for $15....why is toywiz selling them for $20 and $28?  knowing this, why would anyone willing give them money?  because they "think" they're going to be worth something?  because they "think" they'll be a shortage of some sort?  there 1500 of these for petes sake and they just came out, theres plenty to go around considering theres only about 100 members here that are true fans of the movie.

whatever, its like talking to a brick wall over here.  this is the same reason why people still continue to shop at walmart even though walmart is a bunch of crooks.  no one cares how or why, all they know is they want....god i love america!
