The reason is people don't always reward the site with bringing in sales like you do and we think it unfair providing free advertising.

We are trying to come up with a solution.

If someone is selling the odd figure or a lobby card that is cool but, selling an item with the sole objective of making money isn't.

Hope that helps.

By the way i never got that poster book you said you'd send me (Don't worry i'm sure you will ignore this last part again;)).

Well not to down you or anything, I just wish you would post like a real fan, not just when you are selling stuff.  I mean, I do admire your art, really is awesome and I wish you the best in your work.  However, it would be nice to see that you are a real fan.

Uh...I don't want to stir up trouble, but does it matter who is a 'real fan' and who isn't?  I mean, who's to say what constitutes a 'real fan'?

I mainly post in the Vests and Patches board, because, well, I love making and selling them, as an extension of my love for the Warriors in general.

Who is to say this guy doesn't read the hell out of all the posts, but only posts his own stuff when he's got a painting to sell.

I guess I'm a little gunshy about all this as I've been accused of not being a real fan on several occasions, and only out there for $$$.  Which is untrue, but from a certain point of view, it could definitely be mis-construed that way.

For years, us Warriors fans have had precious little to actually buy or collect.  Isn't it kinda good to have a clearing house like this page to help put fans with products?

Besides, this guy looks like he's selling hand-painted art and stuff, and not mass-produced junk.  (And yes, I realize you could turn that last sentence around on me...)

As much as I've had problems w/ Charloots (it's no secret), and to me it seems he's not as active in the other threads and boards outside of the selling sections, I'd never want to keep someone who is obviously passionate about the Warriors as Charloots is away from fans willing to purchase his vests.

I might have a 'favored' spot as this site's store pages link through to Mondotees, but I don't want it thought that I'm not looking out for everyone else.

Of course, this is all contingent upon what you guys have in mind for the future...Kartoon's last sentence was cryptic. :?

Man, here I am defending a guy I don't even know selling a painting I'm not that big on in the 1st place.  What's my problem?

cheers for sticking up for me mate!!! I think I must be a fan because if I wasnt I would not paint this warrior stuff in the first place... I could make more money out of churning scarface & pulp fiction paintings!!! Many people have purchased my warrior art for gifts & I have had great feed back... I first watched the film when it came out at the cinema & was 17 at the time!!! have watched it more times than I can remember ... been to some of the locations on the film. got my kids to watch the film & they have warriors art on there walls ... maybee I am not a fan??? have you seen my website & seen the warriors gallery page...take a look.... www.iconic-arts.co..... by the way This is what i do for a living & the paintings I have on ebay are in an art gallery in Southampton spreading the word!!! cheers H. ps i have all the figures apart from the blue face furie....

wow...
you guys just still dont get it!
do ya's??
i have no doubts you guys are fans!
the problem is, this is a fan site!!
and you guys arent fans here!
youre businessmen, here.
not fans.

guys, come on!! ;)
you come here for one reason, and one reason only!!
this is your one, and only, single greatest advertising outlet, to the warrior fan, community!
period!!

again, no one doubts you guys are huge fans!
all someone has to do, is look at your items!
and the obvious time, and devotion, to the movie!!
but we doubt your reasons for being here, sometimes.
once again, this is a fan site.
not an advertising hub.

and i gotta say, those are an awful lot of excalamtion points, after a question, to a moderator!
especially for a guy who wants to use the best warriors advertising, possible, on the internet!

but hey, what do i know? :? ::)

Eh, I disagree that we're just businessmen.  I post a lot in the Fan Art page, and even if I don't post in the other pages, I do read a bunch of it.

And, SHM, obviously this guy isn't spamming the other pages, trying to get people to look at his stuff...he's just posting in the section that is set up for people to let other fans know about Warriors stuff for sale.

I say he's fine.  But, then again, I'm no mod.

Hell, if I did Warriors paintings, I'd sure as hell want to tell other Warriors fans about it...what's he supposed to do, hide it from the very people who would enjoy it the most?

Well this isn't going anyplace.

I agree with my fellow mods and you agree with a fellow "Businessman" (Sorry didn't know how else to say it).

I think we need some independent views as this is just going to drag.

Anyone reading this that is not a mod or selling anything please give us your unbiased views. It's your site too and you're allowed to express your opinion.

as it seems to bother so many mods I will not post any more paintings on this site. Sorry if I got the wrong end of the stick about the Bazzar section but gathered it was a merchant sellers section.

any chance of linking your site to mine as I have done & donated money to this site? If you included a link on your site like the mezco & vest sales I would not have to post my wares..Thanks H

SHM pretty much hit the nail on the head.

no one is saying someone is a real fan or a fake fan, its just the sellers use the "image" of a fan to push their wares....say it ain't so?

half the people here wouldn't mind you guys using the site like your personal advertising space if you people would just own up to it but no, theres always some kind of "but" when you're trying to defend yourselves....whats with the "but"?

while your all the work that people do here is greatly appreciated, would it kill you to toss a few bucks to the site?  you're clearly profiting off this site and its members, while the site your using is complete non-profit and run based on donations.  do you see where were coming from?  do you see why it upsets the mods and the admin?

honestly, if you don't see anything wrong with this, then you don't deserve to be here at all IMHO.  just start your own site, run it, maintain it, pay for it, then sell everything and anything under the sun.  til then, abide by the rules even if they aren't in your favor, even if they make no sense.  if you want it your way, take your ass to burger king.  :p
