I need a vest without patches and just the piping. I have patches to apply, but would like an acurate vest. Anyone know where?

Before I caved and bought a vest on eBay (which I've since modified), I had an award-winning costume designer (granted, these were awards from science-fiction convention costume contests, but awards nonetheless!) who was going to make me a vest completely from scratch.
And by scratch I do mean just that: she was going to get a huge strip of glove-soft leather, and hand-cut and trim this thing to match the exact shape as in the movies, but further customized based on my exact measurements (I already had the back patch from ccWizards)
What derailed the entire project?
She was unable to find piping, and was, quite simply, unwilling to cut it by hand, given the amount of time it would take without a machine, or even a diamond-shaped punch tool.
So, it might actually be best to get a vest, and just remove the patch - I did exactly that with the ccWizards warbird. The tailor only charged me $25, and that included removing and returning the old patch, opening the lining, sewing on the new patch, and re-stitching the lining into place

4nik8, can you still see the stich holes from the old patch or has your replacement patch covered it all? When I tried mine, I thought the ccwizard patch was too high up on the vest if it covered the old patch.
A1 american flags have disabled the link, but they were selling the vests without patches.
I'm not sure how the vests are when charlloots gets them, but when his supplier contacted me (shah meeran), the vest and patch were seperate. I think charlloots heat seals his on.

That is
exactly what i experienced - because the CC patch is bigger, the wings are farther apart, so, to get it to cover, it would be up too high, leaving too much space at the bottom
Instead, it's nicely centered, and, even though the stitch holes are slightly visible, they follow the same general shape.
Also, now that I’ve been using Neatsfoot oil (100% pure only!), the vest is darker, and softer, and the stitches are much less noticeable
Tomorrow, I toss on some wine-colored fabric dye – let’s see what that does to it!
