BLE 2010: Paramount reveals show line-up

Paramount Licensing is readying for its appearance at Brand Licensing Europe next month - and will be bringing a strong mix of new movie brands and classic franchises to Olympia.

Key deals already revealed include The Godfather and Dolce & Gabbana, with the fashion house producing a collection of men's and women's tops based on imagery from the film trilogy. Meanwhile, Guru is teaming with The Warriors for a range of apparel due to launch in Europe shortly.

Any of you know this brand?? I can't find any other info.

That's a strange way for them to have phrased that, but it likely has no deeper meaning...

If they are being released "shortly", the designs are done and the garments are produced already or will be any day now. I'm thinking their Fall 2010 line. I think it is an Italian clothing company called GURU GANG (which would fit). Anyone of our Italy members know of this brand?

I found some more info. It sounds A LOT like the JOHNNY BLAZE line from way back:

THE WARRIORS + Guru - The collection includes pants, dresses, coats, t-shirts and sweaters, ranging in price from $44-$186 EUR. Product will be in stores throughout Europe beginning late summer, 2010 ($56.66-$259.51USD)

I don't know how our film will translate to DRESSES, but I am anxious to see. Also, it doesn't say denim, it says PANTS! PANTS? REALLY? A bright spot is the coats. Maybe they will make good replica jackets. Wait it says coats, not jackets. Is this going to be a high class line? The price point isn't bad but the line doesn't sound like it screams WARRIORS.

my guess is that it will just be borrowed imagery in a pop sense - not any kind of replicas

Maybe the dress is gonna be a replica Mercy dress

I hope they put more effort into the range than what Ecko unlimited has. I don't think they can do much worse.
So at least it's a wider selection of clothing, which ups the odds for something good to come out of it.

This is an article (in Italian) from last January about GURU GANG company and their Fall/Winter 2010 Collection. The GURU STUDIO'S is the interesting part: pants, t-shirts and vests. They don't say anything about dresses.

How many shirts with this scene do we need? REALLY? Paid designers and this is what they come up with? Shirts on eBay look just like this and are 1/2 the money. I don't expect too much from this now.

I saw new property and EUROPE and thought "Hmmmm. Maybe!" They know there are 1,000s of images to use. Ecko was a little crafty. They weren't much, but it wasn't this same design. They had them walking, but made it in to a noir movie poster.

Well at least this guru shirt hasn't got a bit of childish scribble on it like the Ecko release
I would have gone down the same path as Johnny Blaze and done something that incoporated the different gang logo designs. The warriors font letter W replacing the skull between the wings of the warbird was a design that worked well.
