this is currently listed on ebay as an exact replica of the vest worn in the famous movie 'The Warriors'. It is made of Premium quality 100% genuine cow-hide leather...the listing uses real vest pictures but I asked to see more pics and this is what I received

The vest and WARBIRD are horrible. The rocker doesn't look too bad if you stain it.

This is a 100% real McCoy beware-of-imitations genuine article, as pure a specimen as I've ever run across, if owning one doesn't make me an expert then my name isn't Amy Archer and I've never won the Pulitzer Prize

 (He
is THE Messiah and I should know, I've followed a few

What do you think to this one?

Worst part is the piping. I'm guessing the patches look so huge and dominating because they're on a small sized vest.
The shade of dye and cut of the vest isn't completely horrendous. One of the better cheap ones on the market.

This one has decent piping, but it's dye job makes me nauseous.

Obviously these makers come here. I don't understand why one of them doesn't ask how to make a more screen accurate vest. Most of them have removed the tan under the piping (that came from our analysis). If they did the correct piping (with the circles) and used Cochise's (if he allowed) movie vest for color and patch references, then maybe someone could make a decent replica.

The problem I see now is that these manufacturers think bigger is better. The last 1 I acquired a couple of weeks ago, has 15 inch patches. This means the shoulders have to be wider to compensate for the newer sized rocker. The diamonds on the piping are also twice the size they should be and spaced too far apart. I could make better piping with the spare leatherette I've got left from last years Terminator costume. All I need is a diamond shape hole punch. I tried a normal hole punch and it goes through with little effort.
I'm tempted to trim the vest down to size and swap patches around. I got a size medium but it's bigger than the size large of the older replica vests that some of us have.
