And now they all carry weapons? I mean, it makes sense to be armed, but let's look at this:

Daggers - would make more sense if they weren't long. No real complaints here,

Bolo Knife - Rediculous. A long bolo knife is like a machete. Besides, I'm not quite sure how easily street thugs would acquire more exotic weapons. Tougher than most men my ass, if she needs a big knife then almost anybody from the original 9 could take her on, one-on-one, and win.

Nunchaku - Semi-rediculous. From the description, I assume they meant a three-segmented nunchaku or something. Don't get me wrong, this could work (for a good example of a street thug using a three-segmented staff, see Billy Kane from Fatal Fury and King of Fighter games. Also, there's a bloke in the game the Last Bronx who uses one. ) It depends on the character's history, because usually a fair amount of training is needed to effectively use those.
* Insert awesome line from the Warriors here. *

I think it is JARET ASHE---I think that the font they used is blurring.
BUT I could be wrong and just reading that anyway.

LOL, oh I don't know anto--you asked a serious question about a serious subject, how can the male leader of a gang go with a name like Janet??
If it were actual, I can see it causing him LOADS of problems.

But sleeping always seems like a good idea in my world-so go for it. :D

I always got the feeling from the LOOK magazine interviews, that the only thing they were keeping from the original movie was the premiss of
Them being AWAY from home, and having to fight their way back-and keeping the name of the gang "the Warriors" Tony Scott as much as said that was the main thing about the original that appealed to him, now he was going to put his own ideas into that setting.
I don't think any characterizations will be the same.

Just my own opinion, but it couldn't be the same, and couldn't be nearly as dear to my heart as the original--I don't care who stars as what.
NO CONTEST!!

Just to put it this way the part I loved so far is the fake gang Greaser lookin fight.

Background might be made of cardboard.

The Soundtrack

Post by Lion »

Okay,.... I guess they are not even going to listen to us to stop the remake, my next question is; who is going to play in the soundtrack? I mean you've got to top "In the City". I just hope they choose wisely, but as many as no-good bands have come out, I seriously doubt it. I wish Guns N' Roses were still around (the good ones) so they could do a song or two. Also Rage Against The Machine would be good, but then again these bands are my taste. Hit me with Info. whoever, if you all know anything about a soundtrack.
