I think that a remake would be good for the original. People will see the remake, then want to see the original movie.

Dude I am so with man . I'll wreck the first sucka I hear say that :badgrin:. I'm not against the new one though. I'm just against what they are morphing it into. Well maybe it will fit the times like the original did back in 79'. I guess that is the best to hope for. It will definetly be different that is for sure.

Personally I can't see how true fans of the origional can support this "remake". Mainly because when you look at the "remake", it's pretty clear that it's nothing but a cash in on the name. They noticed popularity when the game gave fresh intrest in th eorigional so they thought "hey this movie has a lot of fans, lets just cook up our own thing, change everything that made the origional so great, to a point where it barely resembles the origional, and use the same name so that fans will see it"

It's an insult to a great movie. It's a pure cash in remake, nothing more.

I completly agree man. that was a well thought out statment. then again maybe were wrong and the new movie will kick some serious ass....... if so that would be pretty sweet but im not getting my hopes up.
