John Amos is known as for playing James Evans on the Television show "Good Times".I just found out that he will be playing the role of Cyrus on the remake.Anyone shocked

any proof of your information he would make a horrible cyrus i think... but its the 2009-2010 so he might be put out for it guys but still i wanna see the proof

When it comes to pre production films, imdb is a bit unreliable and prone to confusing rumours with fact.  This warriors update seems to be stuck in limbo.
John Amos?  Are you sure theres not part of the sentence missing and it said he's playing cyrus's grand father?  If thats the image the studio is after, why not bring Roger Hill back?  Hell, Roger Hill actually looks younger Than this poor choice.

Well you could do worse than that, maybe he would work.

Thing is how will anybody live up to the original Cyrus and his legendary speech, which has to be one of the most quotable pieces of film in history, it's a big ask. Impossible.

To be honest I think they have an impossible task, they need to make it as far removed from the original as possible and just make a totally new film. That's the only way I see it working and them making a film of their own.

I saw that on IMDB few weeks ago! I shocked when I saw that they found actor. But John Amos... He's good... But too old. Okay, okay...! Maybe he was very good for that character and he will show to us how to be big Cyrus.  

I'm just thinking about that i thought that they make good decision.

J. Amos is great and he's a big guy, but, if The Warriors had been done in the early 70s, I could see him up there on the platform, however, it would blow to see him get offed.

But what about Roger Hill?  Well, he may be at Conclave '09. I'll go meet him and tell him I'm sorry he got killed 31 yrs ago.

Never trust anything from the IMDB unless you have another source to go by. Anyone can submit new info, and as far as I can tell they never bother to check their facts before putting things up.
