There are rumors that Tony Scott has quietly begun casting for his remake of The Warriors. The following actors are rumored to have signed on, though there has been no info on what characters they will play.
Remember, until anything is officially released, please take this with a grain of salt:
James Franco
Anthony Mackie
Timothy Olyphant
Rosario Dawson
Irish DJ/composer David Holmes (Ocean's 11, Ocean's 12) is said to have signed on to compose the music.

Thanks for the info but where was this news from? Doesn't sound like bad casting so far! I bet James Franco is playing ajax, he's putting on some muscle for spider man 3 already!

Well Tim O. could play either Ajax or Swan, he has the presence of Swan, but he can take on an Ajax attitude at the drop of a cigarette ash.
And he looks younger in that picture than any of the others I have seen of him. Looks like he could work.
Thanks MarlboroProjects for the info and the pictures. Appreciate your efforts.
I don't know anything about JF--but he looks so soft to me right now, I can't see him as either Swan or Ajax, sorry, maybe he is beefing up for SM3-but for a Warrior---he doesn't look so "heavy muscle" to me.

I think Josh Holloway from that show Lost would be a good choice to play Ajax in the remake.

Rosario Dawnson....She got my vote shes cool.
Then we Got James Franco never seen him in any movies but kepp in mind most of the Orignal Actors weren't in too many moves either.
Tim might make a Good Ajax you never know.
Anthony mackie though? A pretty Boy? I mean Swan was A pretty boy Warriors member But not like this guy.
The Rest I feel might make it. This However doesn't change the fact I might still be Skeptical on the Film it self

I can see Anthony M playing a couple of different roles, first choice would be Snow, but I could actually see him playing Cyrus or one of the other Riffs, but NOT Masai.

Rosario would be a good Mercy, Franco is a good actor and could work as a Cowboy. Mackie looks like a Cleon, and Tim deff has the Ajax gimmick down.

Various "rumor mills" springing from places like Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Thats why I said it's not official and should be taken with a grain of salt.
