The baseball furies, the punks, the hi-hats and the savage huns are all being replaced by gangs local to Los angeles, gangs such as The crips, The bloods and the 18th street gang....this isnt going to be nothing like the real thing.

they should of either made it exactly like the original or somewhat like it.
Not just no ajax or swan taking place in los angeles.
do you know what year the new movie is supposed to take place in because if it's present day then it's just going to be drive-by shootings!

I understand what you mean, but its still going to have the same name and inevitably people are going to associate it with the original.

If they made improvments such as:
kept it in NY
Keep original gangs
Choose actors who havnt been seen before
and so on i might actually be bothered to go and see it but if they dont then its a waste of there time and ours.

What a mockery on such a great movie.

Taking them out, doesnt make the film the same, yes i know its a remake but it would be gay because then there would be no fags to get banged?

REMAKE = GAY/DISGRACE/UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT/MISERABLE FAILURE/SHEER CRAP/GROUNDBREAKING B.S.

This makes me really not want to see the remake, I mean, all of those gangs make the warriors so interesting. Yes, the crips and what not are all gangs of today, but how can you NOT include the Baseball furies in the freaking remake.

What the fuck? if they take out baseball furies theyll have to fill that like 15 minutes with something else it is gonna suck so badly

In my opinion making the new movie "realistic" with the way gang members normally look is lame. Because they have absolutely no distinctive look other than a handkerchief or ball cap usually.

Part of what made the original great was the future concept where gangs developed stand-out clothing. It was a fantasy tale. And anyone that knows L.A. can tell you there is simply no sense to a similar plot as in NYC. There's hardly any "trains" and the idea of getting home from some distant area is schlock. If they had the conclave in East L.A. and you was a gang from distant San Bernardino the only way you could get home would be by car. Today 9 gangster representatives would arrive in one Yukon SUV. Yeah, kinda unexciting huh?

I agree the less it is asociated with the original the better, and also im not even going to hate on the remake, you never know it may be very much unlike the original but still be ok or even good, so im not bashing it until i see it.

Well ya never know, the movie might be good, But i dont think it will reach any oscars

ya know what I think? I think Tony Scott must have some kind of deal working with these gangs. I mean lets look at some facts. In his last movie "Domino" he used real gang members as actors and that TANKED horribly

correct me if im wrong, but isnt the movie based in New York? Not Los Angeles? Man, Hollywood is really screwing up classics, and turning them into bullcrap!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: If Hollywood wants to dish out a crappy gang movie then let them, but what is the point is desecrating a good license?! They're pretty much making their own movie seeing as everything that defines The Warriors is gone, so why use the license?!

Everything that made The Warriors so loveable, the distinguished and origional looking gangs, New York City, the fact that the movie isn't entirely realistic, the depiction of New York in the late 70's, it's all GONE, so why use the license?!

MONEY. That's all that ever matters anymore and it just pisses me off beyond belief.
