Why don't they do the original script?

Swan being held hostage by the gay gang Domingos(or something) and escaping later, Vermin and Cochise die, Snow not talk until they are about to be approched by the Roughs, Fox make it. And when they split up Swan, Snow, Ajax, and COCHISE are together and face the Furries(Cochise dies) and Vermin, COWBOY, and Rembrant fight the Lizzies(Vermin dies) and Fox would be with Mercy and be some-what in control.

Why don't they do that?

i'd rather that they just didn't do a remake, then i'd be happy:D

Exactly. The remake will be much better if they stuck to the original script, or maybe they could do it about the book. Something that follows the warrior plot somehow, not losely like the plot that will be on the new movie.

Tony Scott is an idiot if he done it the way you say it will be easy for him.It will leave him nothing to ruin

I can think of at least one way you could make the movie even worse. Get Michael Bay to direct it and have Will Smith as Cyrus.

I think they should have the old warriors in the new movie. Giving the new movie some boost in it. Like
having the warriors logos on walls and having a old old news paper of what happen. And the new gang playing the roles say "That wasnt nothing" Or something like that and they meet the old warriors and stuff. Would be great a movie.

Since they're doing a remake, it should be held closely to the original novel, just modified for today's times. And it should be eerie and frightening like the novel, I was really into the dark creepiness of it.

A better way to make the remake is not make a remake or another version of this Classic movie...these directors like this Tony Scott guy should come up with something Original...they're too lazy to think...the technology has rottened his brain...if he wants to do a remake he should try remaking Showgirls or some other nonsense that has flopped at the box office!

if they're going to do a remake or another version of another movie it should be one that flopped at the box office...not one that has been admired for 27 years now...The Warriors shall continue to be admired and RESPECTED even if it was a low budget movie!  8)

Get somebody who actually respects the original movie and what it's all about, and work closely from it. They update things like Batman, and that worked well (excluding the Schumacher movies), so I don't think it's totally impossible to do the same with the Warriors.

But Tony Scott's vision, making it with real life gangs and changing everything except the name Cyrus is just stupid. It's like he's just cashing in on the name of The Warriors to get people to pay attention to what looks like just another crappy generic gang movie, no different from the hundreds you can find in straight to DVD bargain bins.

By trying to set his remake firmly in the real world, Scott is completely missing the point of The Warriors. It was supposed to be a vision of a near future New York, it deliberately had a comic book feel and colourful, larger than life gangs. They should try for a combination of things from the original movie, and also the original script, which had some interesting aspects which didn't make the final cut.

I bet most people on this forum (no, in fact everyone on this forum) could come up with a far better Warriors remake than Tony Scott.
