According to rottentomatoes.com, Remar is to play the cop that busts Ajax, ironic.  I thought this movie was not going to have the original characters or even be like the original for that matter!

That's ridiculous and funny at the same time.
For all those hardcore Ajax fans that is gonna hurt, how can the heavy muscle defect to the other side?
I don't think that sort of cameo is welcome, is it?

I'm confused.....I thought their wasn't going to be any original characters, or even be like the first one.

all this hype is stupid, first theres  remake and now its not then it goes back to being a remake noce find though lions

I welcome it just for the reasons you stated, back2coney.  It's going to rank right up there with the remake of Rollerball...the original fans will watch with disgust while the new-age watches and wonders "what kind of crap is this?"  As for James Remar, I'd watch it just because of the scene mentioned.  I don't agree with his decision to be involved but I have respect for him because he's one hell of an actor.  As Ajax, I thought this guy really was Ajax.  He acted the role with conviction.  I won't, however, pay to see it in the theatre.

hmmmm i dunno, rottentomatoes have been wrong about quite a few things in the past. :doubt: i want more concrete evidence of this.

Well if he is going to be a cop, its like what Charlton Heston did.  He was the lead role in the original Planet of the Apes, fighting against the apes saying "damn them all to hell", and on the remake he played an ape saying "damn them all to hell".  So it makes sense to contradict the characters, and pay respect for the original.  Thats if Remar will play in it.

Is there a link to the article?  I would like to read it and any other details about the new Warriors movie.

James remar sure likes those cop roles

Its just a bit of speculation at the moment, but i cant see why he wouldnt want to do it.  The way i see it, the scene wouldnt take much time to shoot, he would get paid for doing very little and get royalties from the film/dvd.

Its nothing more than wishful thinking.  Nothing wrong with a bit of speculation though.

well they sure as hell cant let him play ajax  he may have wanted to be involved in the warriors movie so they gave him the cop part because him playing ajax would not fit in well he is abit old now  :badgrin:

if james did play a cop..then that would give me a excuse to go see the movie!

I acually bealive this, u guys should prob clam dow a little bit , and accept that there is possibilities of things like this, instead of raging out.
