What I think should happen....

As much as most of us dislike the fact that the movie will be re-made or whatever,  it still remains a fact that it will be re-made.  Now I've heard a ton of different stuff regarding our re-make (or not, because I've also heard it wasn't going to be a re-make).  I've heard that they will use limited characters from the original, all the characters, and none of the origional characters.  I've put together a couple of links to maybe clear some of this up.  The one from the Latin movie review website is really confusing me, but maybe it's crap you tell me.  Enjoy!

This one is a article that says Tony Scott won't be using the original gangs and hints that there will be no original Warriors members. It also says Tony Scott has already cast unknowns but its a ways off.

This one not only says they will be keeping all the original members of the Warriors, but adding one to the Nine that already go to the "big meeting",  that they will keep a couple of the gangs from the original movies including the furies (with a stupid little twist), and that they are going to use some of the cool little twists, from the original script of the 1979 film, such as the capturing of Swan. What do you think?

Tell me what you guys think after reading.  I really don't know what to think!! Or what to believe??

The first article sounds closer to the truth as to what this remake will be. The second one gives no credible sources, contradicts what Scott has already said, and frankly, sounds like some lonely saddo writing lies because he/she has nothing better to do. Scott himself has said he is using nothing from the original except the basic storyline, and a character named Cyrus. gangs will be based around real life LA gangs.

Peronally, I think it'll be rubbish either way. I think most of us here on this forum could come up with a better update/remake than Tony Scott.

It sounds like the first, MTV article sounds closer to what would be done, because I don't think Tony Scott wants to remake the 79' film.  I think he just wants to take the basic idea and make it his own or more like the book.  But whatever, I'll wait to see if this thing even gets made.  It's been all talk and no actual clips.
