To me, The original movie left a big ? about Ajax. He was arrested and thats all we know! They need to bring him back for the remake in some way! He was a key character and I wish he was able to stay through the whole film! I saw on this board that rumors are he will be in the remake as a cop! That may work for the younger viewers,but die hard fans of the original will cringe at this. I mean he a was a hard core street gang member,Arrested for attacking a woman , probably a long record. How is he going to be a cop?

I don't believe that James Remar will be playing AJAX in the remake---HE will be an actor playing a cop-probabaly an unnamed cop---NOT the same thing.

Ajax got arrested---and sooner or later he made it back to Coney---we just don't know when--and it doesn't matter for the story the movie was trying to tell.


IF they put a character named Ajax in the remake--it will NOT be our Ajax, it will be a different actor --younger that will fit the gang image of the film, and will probably have different characteristics. It wouldn't matter to the story what they called them--the names were changed from the book to the movie---why not change them again for the remake movie.

Personally---I don't see them naming the remake characters the same as the original characters---I would think they would be totally different---with totally different quirks---It would lead to way too much comparison to the original if they kept the same characters and used different actors to try and fill the sneakers so to speak. BUT that is my own opinion.

Oh and in another thread---Soldierheavymuscle has sort of a fanfic going as to the beginning of the remake---and it uses Ajax, in jail to start the story---and it is a fun read.

Like ranchgal said the film is a remake not a sequal so he wont be playing ajax as a cop, he'll just be a cop

The point I was making is,we will recognize him! To many of us he will still be Ajax!

He will prolly pla ya harda$$ cop who is on the warriors tail throughout the movie......but idk

they should try and get ajax or swan in the remake some how or the older fans will just blow it out,it's got to have some connection to the original

it would be cool to see the old ajax. Remar will probably play a cop though that busts one of the warriors or other gang members. i know this might sound harsh to ajax fans (dont worry, ajax was my favorite), he might be the cop that busts ajax lol.

You know I have also always been curious as to what ever happened to Ajax after he was arrested in the park. I mean did he get booked at the NYPD station house and then released on his own recognense? Or did he have to post bail? If Ajax had to bail, who bonded him out? Was is Swan? It seemed like him and Cowboy were closer. How much was his bail? What kind of charges did he recieve. That scene with the undercover female officer seemed like entrapment to me. I think Julias Peeny, attorney at law, would have something to say about that. Happy trails.

Depends on how old he actually was. Chances are he was held in either lockup or detention until he either got a court appointed lawyer or his parents showed up. VERY doubtful any of the gang could put together bail money for him, esp. when he left them when they told him not to do it.

He approached her, after gangs gathering had a murder in the park, she is undercover to catch muggers/attackers---she is doing her job, no way they would get entrapment entered into it.

Man, Ajax is a badass! He should've been the war chief instead of swan. He's always baggin' on all of the other warriors. "What's the matter, you going faggot?" LOL , that is his most funniest line in the film

Yes, Ajax should've been War Chief and gotten the whole gang killed or just arrested right in the beginning. Ajax is my favorite character, but I'm smart enough to realize his flaws... Unless you'd care to debate.

If there'll be a cop character Ajax,it probably won't have anything to do with the Warrior Ajax!

And Cochise,if Ajax would have been War Chief,he would probably get the whole gang killed since all he wants to do is rumble.Swan,on the other hand,has stealth!
