hey people, but ive just found a website where you can sign the petition and it has over 1600 ppl that have signed it, it wont do any good and why sign it anyway it might be a good movie sure nothing can beat the 1979 film but come on  signing a petition to stop a film is just lame sorry if ive upset anyone saying this its just my opinion

If you mean to stop the new film i agree.
I have no problem with a remake to be honest.
Assault on precint 13 is my third fave film ever and when they remade it it didn't change my opinion on the original.
The new one was pretty poor also but, so what it hasn't changed my life in anyway.

you guys make a good point, I mean its not like its a sequal, and it will ruin the warriors storyline.  Think of it as a homage, it doesn't take place in the same warriors universe so its not affecting anything.  you see a sequal would be hard to avoid, while a remake is like a fan fiction, you can watch it or ignore it.  You guys are right.

Tony Scott's full of it.Even if every single Warriors fan on Earth protests the creation of this movie,he's still gonna make it.Besides,as long as he has the money and the pompous self-love,he wont have any reason to scrap the project.I say let him make his movie. He'll see what happens when you mess with cinema gold.

he isnt really messing with as u say "cinama gold" hes just bascially making his own movie i mean it aint got the original gangs such as furies in it and it aint even based in new york its Los Angeles, so it wont b gettin back to coney island, will no doubt have guns if its based in present times that is, warriors 1979 will always be 1979 version nothing can beat it or change it, i mean this new movie wont affect ur lives and it aint the end of the world, maybe if it was a sequel then it may crucify it but it isnt i rest my case.

Totally agree.  No point to the petition.  Just see the new movie then judge.

Yeah, since directors do have a freedom of speech, a petition wouldn't work.  Petition can play a significant role at times, but when it comes to a simple movie, the director has a right to express the mind, and a petition wouldn't do much.
