I found this on the Yahoo Warriors forum (which I've not been to in years!) and found this supposed list.
"Henry Rollins, Mark Dacascos, 50 Cent, Queen Latifah (!?), Wilson
Cruz, Bob Sapp and . . . Shaquille O'Neal as Cyrus (!!!). its
supposed to be set in a futuristic los angeles"

That is a terrible potential cast.
Did they just pick the biggest bunch of, Better stop as i'll break the rules.

Probably rubbish. It is well know that Shaq is a big fan of The Warriors and this is someones idea of a good cast....the poor, misguided soul.

Bob Sapp was in that Longest Yard film. Wasn't that a Paramount / MTV remake of an old film. Some of the other actors on the list are doing remakes.

Very dubious...interesting. Thanks for the note. I can see Shaq as Cyrus but doubt he can act.
As for LA, it isn't NYC and this will have a chill on the rest of us as to how this film will be received........I assumed it would be set in NYC...

I'm not sure about this 100% but if they're going to do a Warriors remake to reflect modern times doesn't LA have more gang activity than New York now? But that would mean they wouldn't be using the subway throughout the story, so what would he transportation dilemma be?
