This isnt an action scene or anything that is oscar worthy...
the scene from stand by me where gordie lachance is sat alone on the train track and a deer walks across. Very artistically shot and poignant.

"A man called hero". Just before the duel in the rain starts, the camera follows a rain drop down from the sky to commence the fight.
"Brotherhood of the wolf" The opening scene where you dont yet see the beast, but only the first victim being battered against a rock. Also the first fight scene where Marc dacascos gets off his horse and lands in the water in slow motion, before beating the local peasents with a staff. If youve not seen this film yet, its worth checking out. I would describe it as a cross between hound of the baskervilles and a jet li film.

Re: Best scene in a movie
I'll add another favorite scene and its pretty hysterical too:
Little Shop of Horrors (1986)-as he's done finishing up with a little girl...Steve Martin's next patient is Bill Murray...yet he's not the average scared patient like all the others...here's the clip

One of the best scenes in film history is on The Godfather when Micheal is at the table with Solozzo and McClusky. He goes to the bathroom to find the gun that was planted, and comes back extremely nervous. He sits back down and Solozzo continues telling Mike about his plans for the future and Mike becomes uneasy and unfocused, then the subway train comes howling from outside and slams on the brakes. Mike pulls the gun out, aims at Solozzo's head, and pulls the trigger. Then McClusky looks at him like "
" and then Mike shoots him in the throat and then in the head....then he grabs his coat and drops the gun as he walks out....
Powerful scene!

Well, you know what man... very good choice!!! Mine is from The GodFather Part III (see page 1), but I was wondering if that Movie (1-2-3) really "contains or not" a lot (maybe all) Best Scenes!!! Wow... what a MASTERPIECE!!! 8)Swan23 wrote: One of the best scenes in film history is on The Godfather when Micheal is at the table with Solozzo and McClusky. Re: Best scene in a movie
Yeah, it was that scene that made them keep Al in the movie.
Also, yeah, another powerful scene is (Highlight for spoiler if you have seen the movie, if not, don't do it)
At the end of The Godfather III, when the assassin tries to kill Micheal, and Micheal's daughter gets hit and dies, and then Micheal screams in pain.
That was Pacino all the way. He did that on his own.

Yeah, sure I've seen The GodGather 1-2-3, I can say I know all of 3 almost "from memory"... and sure that is a SUPER AWESOME scene!!! :-$Swan23 wrote: Yeah, it was that scene that made them keep Al in the movie.

2 more scenes: Sonny when beated his brother in law, almost funny!!!

The scene where tha audience can see "Genco's Oil" in Little Italy... and The Empire State Building (in Manhattan) in the distance... there's somewhere also today, more than a street/avenue, in Little Italy where you can still see it!!! Magic!!! 8)

Re: Best scene in a movie
Well not only this scene was the best. I've seen Chronicles of Narnia last week. I loved the last part with the war. It was somethin' I never seen before. It reminded me of lord of the rings. Somehow I felt a vibe coming from that part of the movie. The book was pretty boring but the movie is solid.Baby Bear wrote: My favorite scene in the Predator was when Arnold took on the Predator in the end. It was a good fight. I like to watch it over and over. I would just rewind it once the predator blows himself up.
Heres a clip. I was lucky to find this one.

Re: Best scene in a movie
Actually, now that I see your previous post, BB, i have to say that a truly awesome moment in Predator is when Blain is killed, and Mac and them start shooting like crazy. Wikipedia calls it a "mad minute" which is pretty awesome.
