Silent Hill

Post by Baby Bear »

Has anyone seen this movie?I saw this movie today and I think it is ok. Then monsters seemed disturbing and pretty scary if your the type of person that has a fragile mind and has a imagination that likes to run 24/7. I think the concept the people getting into the church before the horn blows to siganl that the darkness is taking over the city and the demons would come out. I like that guy with the pyramid head was cool.
But the whole thing about the girl Alensa is stilll a mystery to me.

Yeah, alot of it was confusing, but I understood it all the second time watching it. Having played the first two games, I can safely say it is also one of the most faithful video game movies ever made.

It stuck with the game's storyline almost exactly, same enemies, locations, and everything. The only things changed were some of the storyline with the cult and some of the characters.

Im also scratching my head at what happened at the end. She arrived home with her husband didn't she? But he didn't see her. So whats up with that?

I think they might have been trapped in Silent Hill forever. Like, they thought they were home, but they were in the "Silent Hill" version of their house. If that makes any sense at all.

Makes sense. No wonder what that foggy stuff was in their house. Man it just feels like they are still sitting there waiting but o one will come.

Now I see it as a great movie. Its one of my favorites now. Hopefully I will get it on PSP. It was prolly confusing becuase I didn't play all the games. The games and the movie have been combined.

I loved it! I thought it stayed really true to the original game (Despite the main character being a woman and not a man in the film) They even kept the original music from the game! Like the song they play during the end credits is the song at the start of Silent Hill 3

I think the idea at the end is that the little girl she goes home with is the "Good" part of the child and the spirit of Alyssa keeps them in this dream world so she can live as a child thats taken care of forever.
It's a bit different from the game ending but the basic story is the same as the first Game

Yeah, the ending does still confuse the hell out of me. Everytime I watch it I try and figure it out but the theory I have is as close as I could get!
