I'm just hoping that cyclops acting isnt as stiff as wood like it was in the last 3 films.  Ryan Reynolds as the wise cracking deadpool; has potentual.  I cant find any mention of maverick or omega red though.  I'll definatly be going to see this, regardless.

dude this is way before xmen and i doubt that cyclops was even born yet in the year this movie takes place in.

And why would you think that?  If gambit and blob are in the trailer, its not set that far in the past.  Scott summers is played by tim pocock (sniggers at surname) in this film.

This is going to be awesome.  I saw the trailer when I went to watch The Wrestler.

I watched the 95% completed version last week.  Overall, I quite enjoyed it.  Its better than x-men 1 and 3 (x-men 2 will always be superior because of Kelly Hu in tight leather).
Once you get over the fact that sabretooth is smaller than wolverine, he hits the vicious sadistic behaviour spot on, unlike the dumb brute that Tyler Mane played.
As theyve done in most marvel super hero films, they've changed a lot of the history to make it more accessable to mainstream audiances.

Sabretooth has been changed so that he's wolverines brother.
Cyclops is a teenager that has been captured by the weapon x project and now has the abilaty to see in the dark.
Amongst others, theres cameo's of storm and quicksilver.
Blob is part of logans strike team. He looks a bit like a certain austin powers character.
Gambit is older than the rest of the shown xmen.
Professor x can walk (im assuming its an astral projection or something)
Ryan reynalds is spot on with deadpools wise cracks. Unfortunatly, deadpool is spoiled when he's given cyclops optic blasts and retractable swords on his forearms.

Theres some hit and miss scenes and some of the dialogue is a bit on the corny side, but i'll still be going to see this at the theatre to see the extra 20 mins and improved fx.

Oh yeah, theres two extra scenes after the credits start.

I very much enjoyed this movie. It was a great comic book movie. Sure not the best, but great ride. Leading up to the events of X-Men, X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program.
