Napoleon Dynamite

I recently watched it recently for the first time. Not too sure what to make of it. I think it is one of those Marmite films which you love or hate. I thought it was quite cool and made a change to see something different. I think it is billed as being the first Indie movie or something! What are your thoughts?

I actually like this movie a lot and bought the DVD when it came out. The lead character is great...an outsider who doesn't seem to care that he is different. Just does his thing. It is quite laid back and like you said most people either love it or don't get it/hate it. And it was great to see Jon Gries as Uncle Rico who I had not seen since he played the weird dude in the closert in Real Genius.

oh man, i love this movie!!!
my kids made me watch it, and i though it was 2 funny!!!
it made me think, EVERYBODY knows, this kid!!
at one time in your childhood, in school, or whatever!!
but everybody has known a kid like this!!!

i do the best napoleon!!!
my kids call up they're friend's, and make me do napoleon, for em!!

i laughed a few times, but all and all i felt like i just watched a movie about nothing. i wasnt very imprssed. i mean it was just....i dont know boring to me. alot of my friends really liked it. but me and jill (my fiance) just could not get into it.

then i ended up with a mega late fee on it

I love this movie.
The guy who plays Napoleon is coming out in "Bench Warmers" which looks very funny.

I love this movie!!! In religion class one day, my teacher said "How can we prove that Napoleon existed" and everyone, at the same time, asked "Do you mean Dynamite?" It was the funniest thing ever!

I love this movie so much! It's so amazing, I watched it about a month ago, for the first time. I love his dance he does at the end, that's what just made me fall in love with the movie.

I'm one of those people that when a movie gets WAAAAAAAAAY too much hype, I start to hate it when I never even seen it. but everyone and their mothers were quoting it and I for one got sick of it. maybe in a few years when the hype dies down I'll watch it

I really liked this film and found it really funny but i found it very slow paced.

Yea i loved it,a one off,laughed all the way through,when he threw a pie at the guy on the bike killed me(Think it was a pie)The guy who plays NP won an award at the mtv awards for best newcomer last year.As for a sequal at the end it shows a clip of a NP 2,whether theres gonna be one or they were just toying with you i dont know.I personally would like to see a part 2.Think it could work............

this movie is Hilarious and really stupid(thats what makes it funny).

I love the movie but I hate when everybody uses the lines in real life its not funny when some guy at school say "Your mom goes to college" its funny but if you tryin' to be funny don't say it
