The Wanderers... that movie makes me laugh (Next time you watch "the Guardian"... notice Nick Fallin's boss... that is Turkey!) Crazy...
The Outsiders... the book is better
Clockwork Orange... freaked me out!
I really cant think of anymore...
West Side Story... Classic example...
Rebel Without a Cause... to some degree...

colors, blood in blood out, how about bad boy's, old sean penn movie. come on remember the pop can's in the pillowcase? in the reform school? by the way my cousin was in that same reform school the movie was filmed in. and west side story blewwwwwwwww! the book on the other hand was pimp. (no musical number's lol)

There are plenty gang movies, but my favorites of all time are:

Gangs Of New York
Escape From New York

Insn't interesting that the greatest films take place in the Big Apple? Then there is The Warriors, but this is stands out as the biggest of them all.

ya ive seen alot of other gang movies but the gangs itslef never satisfied me. like in the warriors everybody had there roll in the gang like rambradt being the graffity guy and ajax being the muscle. most other movie didnt have this element or casted preety boys to play tougth guys like the surf nazi's

Well, let's see, theres:

1. The Warriors (duh!)
2. The Wanderers- cool gang movie, more drama than action
3. The Outsiders- same as the Wanderers, but with more realistic gangs
4. Deuces Wild- one again, a 50s gang drama, but this one has brutal fights
5. Class of 1984- has a small gang as the main enemies, and a gang fight
6. A Clockwork Orange- there's a gang in it, and one hell of a gang fight
7. West Side Story- does it need to be explained?
8. Deadbeat At Dawn- most obscure movie EVER!!! awesome gang/kung fu/revenge/drama movie
9. Streets of Fire- biker gang is in it as main enemies
10. The Purifiers- sucks big floppy donkey dick, but it still counts as a gang movie
11. Aussie Park Boyz- same as the Purifiers
12. Romper Stomper- haven't seen it, heard it was cool

And there's alot more, I just have to think about them...

Hey guys I am glad I found a topic like this. I have hardly ever seen any gang movies. I do like the NYC films but also love the LA gang movies like Boys in the hood. I was wondering if there was any good gang movies that deal with the Crips and Bloods or LA in general. I really like hood movies like Friday also if there is anything like this?

I still can't believe nobody's mentioned 'Street Soldiers'! It's got Cropsey (Luther's sidekick) as one of the main bad guys (The 'JP's'!)...

It's kung-fu gang fights are cheezy as hell, but it's still cool in its own right. One thing that bugs me though is that one dude's snake... Is it SUPPOSED to look plastic, or are they seriously trying to pass it off as real? Answers on a postcard please.
