I just got back from seeing it.  I think you will all like it.  It really captures the essence of the warriors, and I think when you all watch the different factions and armies, you will see how this movies portrays the underdog, but yet mighty tone of the warriors.  By the way if anyone is familiar with the movie "the Scorpion King", theres a army called the Akkadians in the 300 that help the Spartans.  I am not sure if their the same akkadians from the scorpion king since their more of a simple weak army.  Akkadians are Arabic people from the peninsula, but I won't get into that.  Other than that, its a great story of honor, and courage and I think you will all appreciate the true essence of The Warriors in tis movie.

..........Didn't care for the intimate scene between him and his wife, just didn't ok! and the rock music they played in a couple of scenes, completely out of era!

Saw this with a friend and it was so great. I want to watch it again! I loved it despite the minor problems involved with historic facts and computer graphics. It was good!

Finally got round to watching this movie and i have to say i quite enjoyed it,Bit unrealistic & tacky in parts i thought but the fight scenes were awesome,A worthwhile watch ... 7.5/10

I adore this movie, because I'm a big Greek myth/history nerd. Seriously, during the first battle scene I sat in my seat, wide-eyed, completely still except for my hands shaking. I thought I was going to have a seizure. This movie gives me such a feeling of power...not to mention it makes me want to scream "THIS IS SPARTA!" at the top of my lungs and kick people into wells. *Squirms with delight*

This was a pretty awesome movie, probably the best film I've seen at the cinema this year. When I watched it, the feel of it reminded me of The Warriors (perhaps the fighting off of rival warriors), and then I read this topic just now to find some of you thought the same. Then again, you just have to watch Walter Hill's opening of the movie to see what inspired The Warriors....

i think if you take this movie for what it is,then you will really enjoy it!personally i thought it was class,the fight scene where the 2 men are rotating back to back with each other and just destroying everything that comes near them is probably one of the best action/war/fight scenes ive seen for years!

Well, i just got back from seeing it and lord was i impressed. The action scenes ruled. Its one of the best movies i've seen at the cinema for a long time.
Spartans are sooo cool, i couldn't help but laugh at how camp the leader of the persians was though.
One thing that got me was, all that blood splashing everywere... and there was not one patch on anyones sword or on the floor.

9/10!
