Remake Of The Outsiders

Sounds good. I will be waiting to see it---I hope it gets this far to the middle!!
I think the DVD is coming out in a couple of weeks, thats why they cancelled the wide release of the movie. It only played in NY for 1 week.

I'm pretty sure that in the original right after Dallas gets killed the only scene between that & the end where Pony finds Johnny's letter in the book is a small snippet of the Trial, but then it was more of a custody hearing to let the audience know that Pony stays with his brothers. The way it was edited you never get the sense that Pony is on trial. I'm pretty sure the school scene & Soda running away were not in the original. Check on this Ranchgal [-o<

I know the short scene of Rob Lowe in a towel was in the original, but this seemed longer. Tom cruise is chasing him around the house. (God, what is up with Francis Ford Coppala & this imagery. Men hugging & embracing in bed, chasing each other around in towels. All we need are Gladiators & a Turkish prison & we'd have a full on gay epic.   )

Also another observation that I had forgotten. Matt Dillon gets the award for the biggest overacting since William Shatner graced the bridge of the starship Enterprise. From his Ed Nortanistic gyrations everytime he lights a cigarette, to his Knute Rockne speach in the hospital (Let's do it for Johnny, man!), he turns in a performance not seen since Adam West danced the "batusi" on the 60's Batman TV series.
