Now I'm sure most of you have probably seen or at least heard of this film but I thought I'd make a topic about it because theres just so much to say about it. In my opinion, Christian Bale gives one of the best performances I've ever seen. He makes Bateman so cold and horrifying, its just so good. The character of Patrick Bateman is just superb as well, hes such a bad person, but you still find youself having a liking toward him, its great! But I thought the main topic of the discussion would be the ending. Did he do it or not? Did he do some things but not others? Does he actually say some stuff in the film that we see him saying or is that just supposed to be in his head? IMO , the further into the film you get, and the more psychotic and out of control he starts to become, he starts losing control of some of his thoughts and they come through into real life despite him having no control over them.

So......your thoughts?

Good movie, excellent book.  If you haven't read it, I suggest you do.  If you think he did freaky stuff in the movie, wait until you read the book.  It also tells you if he did it or not.

I always thought it was all in his head, and that he went nuts.  Bale was great in that movie, he was so jealous and angry.

The film leaves alot out that the book tells you.  That is why the ending is confusing.  Years passed until the time he confessed to his lawyer about the "murders".
