CENTURION
CENTURION
I have just watched Neil Marshall's "Centurion" over the weekend and noticed in the end credits he thanks both Walter Hill and Zenophon (his spelling not mine!) "for all the inspiration." The plot of Centurion runs similar to both "The Warriors" and Anabasis as in it focuses on a group of soldiers in enemy territory trying to make it back to their own lines. The influence that "The Warriors" have on Neill Marshall is evident in his film "Doomsday" where their are some Warriors related references i.e. the chase to the train station. It is obvious that Neil Marshall is a fan of both "The Warriors" and Walter Hill and if (and I know it's a big if) another Warriors film was to be made which was to stay true to the original then I think we could do alot worse than have Neil Marshall directing it. In staying true I mean set in NYC and the seventies whether it be a prequel, sequel or spin-off. On the film Centurion itself I would recommend it especially to those who liked "Dog Soldiers" and "Doomsday."

Anyway if it can help, you was almost right. I mean Zenophon->XENOPHON (ENG)->Senofonte (ITA).
