Mine is Ghostbusters, it was the first movie I ever went to the cinema to see when I was 11, and has become one of the few movies I can watch quite frequently without boredom setting in.

I loved The Goonies as a kid and now own the DVD. The deleted octopus scene is a bit wild! I also like the original Neverending Story. For a film made in the early 1980s I thought it had some pretty cool effects, though is quite depressing.

I have to say "Old Yeller" stayed with me a LONG time, and still tend to watch it when it is on yet. And The Littlest Outlaw--loved that horse, had one that looked very similar at the time.
most of the old disney movies were young when I was---Bambi, Lady and Tramp, Cinderella, Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty all were pretty fantastic the first time I got to see them. And I bought and/or taped most of them for my son too, so I can still see them.

Was glad to see Old Yeller on this list. Another v old one was The Yearling. To old and sappy for most here I'm sure but My grandma and I watched it ever time it was on. She used to tell me when I was a little guy I used to tell her all the time I was going to live in the woods like that and only have a tv and a refrigerator. Accually the way things are today maybe it was'nt a bad plan.

I read the book before I ever got to see T.Ylg. and the book impacted on me big time. Can even still quote some of my favorite lines--Don't know why it took so long for me to see the movie. But it was a classic, I agree.
