Oh my God, this movie is a classic, how many of us went through that. Though I served detention, it was always on school days, never on weekends.

I saw that last weekend on the late, late, late, late night movie.  I got a craving for a captain crunch sandwich of course.  And then I remembered how nerdy I was in highschool, and how my school library was never that cool, and I wanted the boots Molly Ringwal was wearing in the movie.  Ahhh good times.

I really like this movie and see it as a classic.  But, those kids' problems are pretty mild.  There are plenty of kids their age with a lot more to be depressed about.  "Can you describe the ruckus?"

I always wondered how "the Bull" never heard the records being played in the library.  Granted, he's indulging in an alcoholic beverage with the janitor at the othe side of the school; but noise travels far in an empty building.
It still remains one of my all time fave films.  I always loved the exploding glass sequence at the begining.

I heard they were trying to make a remake, it doesn't surprise me.
