The sky hued to a dark red color. The smell of fire and smoke filtered the air. Men were screaming and making multiple battle cries. Swords beheading the fighters. Some bleeding to death due to internal injuries. It was the Spartans and Gladiators. After a agonizing two hours of battle the Spartans won this gruesome conflict with the most violent men of Rome. On the rocky terrian the bodies of the fallen rested.
Standing tall was the Spartnas leader, Haelous. He survived with a small cut over his cheek and a busted lip.
He turned to his remaining clan. He rose his bloodstained sword and shouted."He has not forsaken us. If it wasn't for him we wouldn't survive this battle." One of the injured soldiers spoke out."Who is this he that you speak of? It can't possibly be lord Zeus can it?" Haelous stared at the soldier with no expression his eyes remained dark and silent."Don't bother yourself with who it is. Just thank the gods that your living. Now the ones that have fallen do have the idea of what victory tastes like."
In a instant a small voice blew into the wind passing up Haelous face blowing his curly brown hair. It said."You owe me. I gave you untapped power to defeat the Gladiators."This voice was evil. Haelous eyes lit up and his helmet covered his eyes only showing darkness. His sword propelled towards one of his men. The thick weapon skewered the victim breaking through his chestplate damaging his ribcage and tearing through the heart. The other men shook in fear. This wasn't normal at all. Haelous murdering his own crewmate?
Soon enough more blood soiled the ground. They all fell to their knees. Far away on the highest hill was a handsome god named Hermes. He was a messenger god. Something like Zeus tattle tell if needed. Apparently he witnessed the murder of the Spartans. He knew this was out of line and he proceeds to go inform lord Zeus.
More to come.....

Final Chapter
The pillars of Zeus kindom was decorated with gold that can last a man a lifetime if put in value. Hermes walked slowly up the brick path and approached the chief of gods as he rises up some stairs. He stops."Lord Zeus, I have seen the Spartans leader slay his own men. There will be no military organization to protect Athens." A small wind blew past Zeus white long hair." Yes it is possible that this warrior has gave his life to Ares in exchange for power."
Hermes stood straight."Well they did fight the Romans and they have lost quite a few men and if the Barbarians invade it'll be much worse." Hermes takes a breath."Your son? Ares?" Zeus sighed and his eyes lit up to a hue of baby blue color."Bring the Spartan leader to me. I will annoint him of his sin." Hermes bowed his head in agreement and took off.
The messenger god traveled back to the massacre on the rocky terrain. There he stood watching Haelous talking with Ares. "Ares" Hermes murmured. Soon enough the god of war disappeared. Haelous fell on one knee looking as weak as a sheep in a lion pen.
Hermes shouted."Zeus wants you to come with me. Please Follow." The Spartan stood up and let his sword fall from his hand. "I sold myself to the god of war. I have no value now. I will jump from the cliff of Olympus." The messenger put authority in his voice."What? Zeus wants to see you now! Suicide isn't a option!" Haelous stops holding his head in shame. In a instant a decaying limb comes out the ground and grabs him. Soon after over dozens of them clutched onto the spartan. They pulled him into the ground so he will live in the underworld.
Hermes turns his back as the ground closes up. "He didn't have to end his life...He was dead inside." He walks off into the mist and disappears. Haelous was greedy therefore this led Hermes to think he was dead inside. Punishment hasn't been served to the spartan in hell. It appears that Hades envyed his greed he decided to make Haelous the guardian of hell.
The End.
