The two men had been walking for a while now, Vermin filling Ajax in on everything he had missed. Every detail about his fight with the Riff's and how the Harlots came to be on Coney and how he was going to be a Dad. They were now just sitting on the edge of the boardwalk a little bit away from the hangout.
"Jesus Christ man, I still can't believe you're going to have a kid" Ajax said, shaking his head and looking out infront of him. He hadn't realised how much he'd missed Coney until he'd been walking around it and taking it all in for himself again.  Vermin nodded in agreement.
"Don't I know! I didn't exactly take the news in the best light either" He said. Ajax smirked.
"Oh yeah? Who'd you waste?" Vermin shook his head. Trust Ajax to assume the worst.
"No-one but the girl on the end of the phone at the condom company complaints department...her ears are going to be ringing for months!" He said with a bashful laugh.
"Well...she looks like a great girl. Looks like a good outfit too" He commented.
"Yeah they are, got a good deal going too. Their racket brings in a lot of money and all of them are really cool" Vermin said. Ajax shot him an evil grin.
"You think I could get a little action off some of them?" Vermin rolled his eyes.
"I'm sure you could find someone to put up with you...and if you can't...you can always pay one of their working girls for the night" Vermin said, laughing at the frown Ajax was throwing him.
Suddenly there was the sound of glass smashing and a bang from inside the hangout. Vermin and Ajax both jumped to their feet and could see some of their soldiers running out of the hangout. The closer they got to the hangout the better they could see inside, flames dancing on the side of the walls.
"Holy [bad word deleted]! What the [bad word deleted] happened!" Ajax shouted as they barged their way inside. Some of the soldiers and Harlots were putting out the fires that had started while others were making their way outside.
"Ajax, Vermin come on! We need your muscle! Girls get out and get somewhere safe!" Swan was shouting through the commotion. Mercy shook her head.
"But I can fight!" she shouted.
"Me too" Robin joined in. She knew Vermin wouldn't exactly be thrilled that his pregnant girlfriend wanted to join the fighting but she wasn't one to just sit back and do nothing.
"NOT THE TIME MERCY, JUST DO AS I TELL YOU!!" Swan shouted. Mercy sighed and nodded before putting her arms around Melody and Robin and running with them outside.
"What the hell happened here?" Ajax asked quickly. Swan shook his head.
"We got a cocktail through the windows. We're being hit by some random gang! Come on, everyone out back with me!" He shouted to his soldiers, running towards the back door of the warehouse. Standing outside were rows of me all dressed in black tshirts and wearing Denim vests. Vermin had a funny feeling he had seen those vests somewhere before, a very long time ago.
"Who the [bad word deleted] are these clowns?" Ajax said out loud to no-one specifically but he figured he was only saying what everone else was thinking. Swan had a horrible gut feeling that this wasn't going to end in just one night and in the back of his mind he was hoping the girls got to a safe place.
"Well look what we just smoked out! The Coney Island Warriors!" A cockey young man said, walking to the front of the group. He wasn't very tall, if anything he was slightly smaller than Ajax but he was just as well built. He has stubble all over his face and his hair was messy. He wasn't the healthiest looking guy in the world with his pale skin and dark under eye circles. As he was speaking he pulled a ciggarette out of the pack in his chest pocket and lit it with a very expensive looking lighter.
"What the [bad word deleted] do you want?" Swan spat at the man as he took a long inhale. The man smiled as he blew the smoke out of his nostrils.
"You might remember some of us, see, we were the originals. The gang who made Coney Island. Put this place on the Map!" The man explained pacing from side to side infront of Swan and the others.
"That doesn't answer the question!" Vermin snapped. The small man took another inhale and but this time quickly blew the smoke out through his mouth.
"We are the Coney Island Destroyers and we're taking back what is rightfully ours!" he growled, his stained teeth bared dangerously. Vermin knew he had seen those vest somewhere before. He used to wear one. A very very long time ago before him and Cleon broke off and formed the Warriors. He sneered at the group infront of him, bunch of losers who had been beaten a long time ago but refused to accept it. Swan smirked and tried to laugh.
"Yeah right, like thats going to happen! [bad word deleted] off back to where ever it is that you came from!" He said, gesturing with his hand. The small man shook his head and finished his ciggarette, flicking the butt away and letting it bounce along the rough tarmac.
"See I don't think you guys are getting what I mean. There's more of us, these guys are just the tip of the iceberg and we're coming to take our turf back!" He said before lighting another ciggarette.
"You're forgetting something, its not just us anymore. There are two gangs you're going to have to take out" The man rolled his eyes.
"Yeah don't we know, The Harlots, We're not worried about them" he sneered, "We're gonna leave you for now Warriors but we're gonna be back...this is War" He snapped his fingers and suddenly disappeared within the sea of demin clad men all walking away from the Warriors that were standing outside. Swan stood with his jaw set and shoulders back, prepared to pounce if one of the men dared to throw a punch at him.
"Swan, whats our orders?" he heard Snow say to him from just behind his left shoulder. Swan didn't bother to turn around to him, he didn't want to take the chance that one of the men would attack him while his back was turned even if they were almost out of his eyeline.
"Get everyone back to the hangout" He said quitely. His voice was tense and  his body stiff as he turned to the others, "War has just been started. We need to be prepared"

-----------------------------

The atmosphere inside the Warriors hang out was so thick we tension you could cut it with a knife. All of the Warriors had been taken off the streets and brought inside on Swans orders and Robin had done the same for the Harlots. Now the two street families were mingling together, talking in a low murmer while Swan and Robin spoke in private. Leader to Leader.
"[bad word deleted], this is heavy" Robin said, "How many do you think we're talking?" Swan shook his head.
"I don't know. It could be another handful or it could be hundereds. We don't know if they have any back up from other gangs either" He said. His comment reminded Robin of something that would play in their favour.
"Well we have back up too. One call to my Dad and we have the Satans Mothers down here and if it really gets mad I can call Mike from the Riffs" She suggested.

After the wedding, Masai's mental health quickly began to dwindle. He became paranoid that his rep was being destroyed and began ordering his boys to attack other gangs for no reason. He was quickly over thrown and Mike was named leader in his place. It took time but the Riffs had slowly managed to reclaim their place as biggest gang in the city and things were running smoothly again. Robin was pleased for Mike. She had put the past behind her and they were friends once again. It was handy having the biggest gang in the city as a friend.
"It's one option but I don't want to get too many gangs involved unless we really need to. I want to try and sort this without outside help" He said. Robin nodded in understanding. She could get where Swan was coming from, too many gangs and it would get really messy. It should try to be as contained as possible for the sake of the streets.
"I think we should double our patrols on the street. Take out anyone who we recognise as a Destroyer and be ready for anymore attacks" Robin nodded. "Are your girls up for it?"
"We've been through worse and we're going to protect our turf!" She stressed.
"Are you up for it?" Robin rolled her eyes.
"I'm pregnant, not crippled! I'm early so i'll be fine" She said. Swan smirked.
"You know Vermin's not gonna be happy about this" Robin smiled and nodded.
"I know but hey, it's my turf too. I've never been one to back down from a fight" Swan smiled and nodded towards the stairs.
"Come on, they deserve to know whats going on"

The both headed up the stairs and as they emerged the conversations slowly came to a stop and a horrible uncomfortable silence hung in the air. They both stood infront of everyone, waiting patiently until everyone was paying attention.
"As you all have heard, there was an attack on our hangout a few hours ago and it was serious enough to bring you all off the streets" Swan started. A few shouts were heard from the back of the crowd. Questions about who it was and why it was happening were being thrown at the two leaders.
"A few years ago we took out another Coney Gang called the Destroyers and we took over Coney" He said, a few of the Warriors clapping and wooping at the memory, "These [bad word deleted]s came back, reformed with new members and hit out hangout with the one purpose. They want to start a war for Coney" He said simply.
"Aw come on! We can take those pussies!" Ajax shouted from near the front. Swan shook his head, he wasn't in the mood for Ajax and his hard man attitude. There was more at stake than just a few bumps and bruises.
"We don't know their numbers and we don't know if they have any other gangs on their side willing to soldier for them! They almost burned this place to the ground...I don't want that happening to the whole of Coney" Swan said. Ajax just nodded, Swan was right. They could still smell charred wood and burnt alcohol inside the palce.
"And it's not just the Warriors" Robin said, speaking to the group for the first time, not as Vermin's girlfriend but as a Warlord, " They want the whole of Coney so that means us too Harlots. If we don't fight, we're going to find ourselves wrecked and homeless" She said, "Swan and I have talked it over, all our Working girls are going to Gramercy with the Riffs who have agree'd to let you work from there and Mike will take care of you" she said. Swan nodded.
"Our patrols are going to double up, two Warriors and Two Harlots and double the ammount on the streets. Anyone you recognise as a Destroyer gets wasted. No questions asked. Everyone understand?" He asked. Many of the men and women just nodded, some made fists with their hands and punched air and some just stood looking irate.

The crowd began to break up, the patrols getting ready to go out. Robin sighed, she would have loved to have gone out with Mercy and Melody but she was feeling tired and a little ill. It wasn't the most convenient time to be pregnant or for a gang war to start. The two generally didn't mix. She walked over to Vermin and put her arms around his waist, her head lying on his shoulder. Sometimes she just needed a hug. Today was one of those days.
