The Story of the Last Real Cop
The Story of the Last Real Cop
November 17th, 1977
My name is Andrew Green. I am a patrol cop working against the scum of the city. Normally I am out stopping gang activity and stuff like that, but instead i'm sitting in my house watching the News and eating cereal. It's all because of this punk teen who runs with a gang called the Dingos, didn't know how to use a gun and ended up shooting me in the leg two times.
Needless to say I was pretty [bad word deleted]ed off to see that 5 cops were dead as a result of a gang battle between the Gladiators and the Dingos. Yet all I could do is sit in my house wait for more news on the situation to come in.
After about ten minutes of waiting to hear more of the story I decided to go to sleep and hope my leg recovers by morning, even though I knew it wouldn't happen.
November 18th, 1977
When I woke up this morning I was pretty surprised to find that my leg felt much better. But there wasn't any time to celebrate, seeing how officer Clinton (my boss) called right when I got out of bed.
Clinton: Good morning Andrew, sorry if I woke you up.
Andrew:It's alright, I was just waking up anyway.
Clinton: So how is your leg doing?
Andrew: It's actually doing much better.
Clinton: Great, do you think you'll be ready for work anytime soon?
Andrew: Whenever you need be boss i'll be there.
Clinton: Great, I need you to get down here as soon as possible.
Before I had time to ask why he hung up, so I was pretty sure this way very serious. So I put on my
coat and grabbed my car keys.
As I pulled into the parking lot Clinton was standing right there with this very weird looking grin on his face. He told me to get my ass to his his office.
I walked into his office and grabbed a piece of chocolate thinking I would have time to eat it, but I didn't. He told me to take a seat, so I did as he started to talk.
Clinton: Im sure that you have heard about those five cops that were killed in that gang fight.
Andrew: Yeah, what a shame it was, if I were there then im sure that wouldn't of happened.
Clinton: Yeah yeah yeah, I didn't call you in here to hear you boast about yourself, this is serious!
Andrew: Ok then what did you call me for?
Clinton: I've been doing a lot of thing about this gang thingy and how it's a harm to a big amount of families here in New York.
Andrew: What's your point?
Clinton: If you would let me finish my sentence then you would know, I was thinking that we need more people under the bed to keep an eye on the monsters, if you know what I mean.
Andrew: Yeah you want me under your bed to keep the monsters away.
Clinton: WHA? NO! I mean, I want you to go undercover.
Andrew: I don't get what that has to do with monsters under the bed.
Clinton:MY GOD!!! Are you serious? Forget the monsters! I just want you to go undercover. Do you accept?
Andrew: I don't know what's in it for me?
Clinton: well, I would think you would do this all for the greater good, and to keep the people of New York safe, but if thats not enough then I would say that you'd do it because i'm your boss! Or maybe because you want to keep it, but then again it is twenty percent up to you isn't it?
Andrew: Fine i'll do it.
Clinton: I thought you might, we have seven under cover cops hidden in a big warehouse somewhere, I don't know exactly where it is. So i'll arrange for officer Derick to meet up with you in the park, and when you guys find each other he will explain what exactly you'll be doing. Now go and get a good nights sleep because you'll be going undercover in a day.
I wasn't sure about this whole going undercover thing but I was happy to be back in action. I'm just hoping that I won't be working with a bunch of douche bags like Officer Clinton.
November 19th 1977
The next day I did as I was told and waited in the part for Derick. Little did I know that it was only 56 degrees outside, but they didn't call me out here to complain about the weather. I looked to see if Derick was in my sights but all I saw a fat guy sleeping on the ground. So I looked to see if he was gonna sneak up behind me to scare me, but he wasn't though, but I did see a big burner in the alley way that said "The Dingos" So me being the outstanding person that I am I decided to pee on it.
I unzipped my pants and started to whistle my favorite tune, when out of nowhere a I felt the vibe of someone watching me. I turned my head to see a scrawny man with a mustache laughing his ass off.
Andrew: Um... May I help you?
Man: No. It's just funny as hell.
But before I had made a witty response I reconized his face. It was Officer Derick McHenon. It looked like he hadn't shaved or eatin for weeks. But then again he was undercover, I just hoped that wouldn't happen to me.
Derick:Hey man what's up with yah? Are you ready for this?
Andrew:I'm ready for anything. But what exactly are we doing though?
Derick: I'll explain that when we get there.
I still didn't know what was going to happen but I knew that when I got into that car to go to the warehouse, there would be no turning back.
I did this long ago on the Game forum and now i'll post it here.

Re: The Story of the Last Real Cop
November 19th, 1977
We had been driving for about twenty minutes when I noticed that we were no longer in Dingo territory. That didn't mean a gang wouldn't jump us, seeing how most of every part of New York had a collective group of low life, gang banging, scum bags, trying to keep their turf.
So I was looking for tags to see what crew might be giving us some trouble, and surely enough as we turn the corner I see a big billboard with "the Big Trains" mark painted over it. I didn't know much about the Big Trains, just that they were at war with "the Zulus" and "the Jupiters", and that they made lots of deals with "the Yo-Yo's", "the Alley Cats" and "the Black Hands". So they were pretty active.
I was worried at first that they were gonna come out of the alleys and give us a hard time. But I remembered a few things, it was 11:45 A.M., I was undercover so they couldn't tell I was a cop (at least I hope not), and I assumed they were all tired and had hangovers from a party they might of had last night.
I seemed to be forgetting that I was in the car with with an undercover cop who was probably filled with drugs, and filled his car with the stench of liquor, because he started talking to me which made me twich a little bit.
Derick:Are you alright? Are you worried about something?
Me:No man, I'm just wondering what we are gonna be doing.
Derick: Man I told yah, I will explain everything when we get to the warehouse, I will also give you time to meet the others.
Me:Others? We aren't gonna be alone?
Derick: Why did you think we was alone? Besides there is only six other guys, and their all undercover like us.
Me: Have any of them pointed a gun to anothers head yet? I mean I am sure that living together so long can drive a man crazy.
Derick: Naw man we get along fine, we play darts, poker, we drink and tell stories and stuff. Ahhhhhh man you gotta see me system, we can cheat those guys at poker and.....
As he was rambling on about something I was pretending to listen, even though I couldn't really focus my mind on the situation.
Derick: Hey man you got kids?
Me: Yeah I got two boys, Ryan and Jeffery.
Derick: How old are they?
Me: Ryan is 17 and he is the best athlete at his school, not to mention all the girls love him, so he's like me when I was his age. Jeff is 15, he's more like his mom was, he's more quite, smart and witty.
Derick: Is he shy?
Me: Not really, he only talks when he thinks it's best. What about you, you have any kids?
Derick: Yeah I have a little girl, haven't seen her in awhile, since I started this undercover thingy.
Me:It's okay man.
Derick: Thanks.
About two minutes after that conversation we got to the warehouse. The exterior wasn't pretty. I mean it wasn't crushed or anything, but it had the Anarchy sign sprayed everywhere.
So I decided not to judge a book by it's cover, and I made my way into the warehouse.
As I walked in I saw a lot of dangerous look figures, and one familiar one.
Derick: Welcome to the club Andrew Green, allow me to introduce you to everybody. This is Willard.
He said as he pointed to this balding man with a very defined face and a deep stare.
Derick: And this is Clark Blake, he has some good philosophy.
Clark: Only when I is drunk. HA HA *burp*.
Clark was a pretty big guy with a big beard. I wondered how he was going to be able to keep up with everybody in the case we needed to run really fast.
Derick: Marcus Jefferson is the guy over there playing with the gun.
Marcus was the only dark skinned man and had he a small afro with sun glasses. Not to mention he was only 5 foot 6. But there was no doubt he was tough.
Derick: Heres Jason Thomas the fastest in this room.
Jason looked to be in his late teens, he had a smile on his face so I assumed that he was excited about being undercover.
Derick: Over there is Bill Slaunders. He's the one with the grey hair and the mustache.
Bill was playin a game of cards with this younger looking guy. Bill kept a straight face so I am pretty sure that he won the game. He appeared to be in his 50's.
Derick: The other guy over there is Gavin Murphy, don't let his worried face fool you, he's losing.
I watched their game a little to learn a bit more about Gavin, Bill whispered something in Gavins ear
which made Gavin start to laugh his ass off but the laugh seemed forced.
Derick: Well thats all the crew.
Me: Nice to meet everyone.
Willard: Listen up man, We don't need another Phil Franko on our hands. Ok?
I was a bit freaked out by this statement. But I decided to respond so I didn't look like a wimp.
Me: You know what man you're a bully and nobody likes you.
DAMN!!! I thought to myself for saying something so stupid. Everyone was looking at me in silence for a moment, and to my surprise everybody thought I was joking. Willard came up from behind me and patted my back.
Now all I could do was hope that I don't mess up like that Phil Franko guy, whoever he is.
Sorry if that was to long or short Im still trying to get past the first part, But I promise there will be action later on.

Re: The Story of the Last Real Cop
this is a brill story the fact that its about a cop going undercorver in a gang is genius.. i like a character in a story who takes risk's, yeah totally carry this on coz it is exellent and its a =D> =D> from me dude!!
Re: The Story of the Last Real Cop
Thanks very much I am really glad to hear that
Re: The Story of the Last Real Cop
Yeah, I like this story because instead of focusing on a gang member you're focusing on a cop, and I think this story holds massive potential. I like how you've already given all the characters different personalities, and I just look forward to where you take the story from here. Good work Rocko, keep it up.
Re: The Story of the Last Real Cop
November 20th, 1977
So I have met everybody, but I still didn't quite know what I was gonna be doing. Not to mention that the warehouse was very cold. The room was filled with boxes, I wondered what could we all do with so many boxes. I guess I was about to find out.
Me:Hey Derick, I still want to know why we are undercover.
Derick: Thats right I haven't told you yet.
Willard: Just tell the man what why he's here so he can shut up.
Willard had no idea how close he came until I beat the crap out of him.
Derick: Ok Andrew, we are here because we are trying to put a stop to this whole gang problem. We figured that as cops we couldn't get close enough, but flash dealers and weapon dealers, and even spray paint dealers are around this kind of action every day.
Me: I still don't get it. Are you saying that we are gonna pretend that we are flash and weapon dealers?
Bill: Thats exactly what he is saying, but there is much more to it then that.
Derick: You see every man in this room is working for another unit of cops in the city. Like Clark Blake worked for commissioner Stanley in Bowery, while Bill Slaunders worked with Harrison Rickmen
in Coney Island, Willard works in Gunhill.
Willard: Yup thats AC turf, they are waaay more of a challenge than the Saracens and the Destroyers.
Clark: Well don't forget where Bowery has two gangs the Saracens and the Jones Street Boy.
Willard: I bet none of them have escaped from prisons or asylums?
Derick: GUYS!! Let me explain a little more to me buddy Andrew here. So like I was saying, we aren't just dealing with the Dingos and the Dominators, we will be dealing with almost every gang in New York if we do it according to plan, In fact Gavin is out right now steaking out a gang called the Big Trains.
Me: Why?
Bill: Because tonight them and the Zulus are having a big exchange of unknown items, and it's all going down on The Jupiters turf, so we believe that the Big Trains are gonna pretend to make peace with the Zulus, while one of the Big Trains boys leads the Jupiters to this whole ordeal.
Derick: You forgot to mention that the Alley Cats were backing up the Big Trains. So pretty much we need to get there to stop this before things get out of hand. But who knows maybe it's all a big peace treaty.
Me: Thats kinda confusing if you ask me but I think I get it.
Eight hours later, it's now 7:45 p.m.,we were all playing cards when Gavin runs in the room.
Gavin: HEY EVERYONE!!!!!!! Grab your stuff and lets go, this whole deal is going on in one hour so we need to get there in twenty minutes.
We put up the deck and all run for the cars, there was three cars and I got in the first one with Clark, Willard, and Gavin. The sky looked as if it were going to rain, so I knew that we needed to be quick.
Clark handed me a piece of paper, this paper showed our plan and positions. Me and Derick were the
guys doing all the up close stuff, I was told to hide inside a dumpster peeking out a little. So I would be right in the action. Derick was gonna be watching from a window two stories up, and the others were gonna be spread out, but not far from the treaty.
We parked our car across from where the treaty was gonna take place.
Willard: Everyone get in positions now.
I opened up the dumpster and made myself comfortable. I lifted up the top just to a point that I could see.
About five minutes after we were all in our positions the Big Trains arrived. They wore these nice looking black bomber jackets with their logo on the back, with a red stripe going down the arm.
They were laughing and telling jokes, when the Alley Cats came, I heard them talking and I found out that the leader of the Big Trains name was Titanic, which I thought was a little bit weird because the Titanic was a ship, but that thats besides the point. I also found out that the leader of the Alley Cats name was Dan Kennedy, and he had mentioned that the leader of the Zulus was Shaka, of course his name would be Shaka, these gang members are pretty predictable.
Titanic: Okay Dan tell your men to get on the roof, I'll yell for yah when I need you guys to help.
Dan: Alright but don't forget you owe me.
Titanic: Don't worry man I won't forget.
Dan made a signal telling the Alley Cats to follow him to the roofs. I noticed that one of the Big Trains was covering up a Jupiter tag with a trash can. I guess it was to hide the fact that it wasn't their
turf.
I start to hear voices from the distance, as I see this all black gang wearing no shirts to show their muscles, and cheetah fur around their shoulders. Shaka looked to be pretty thin but very ripped. They weren't carrying any weapons so they must of believed that their wasn't gonna be any fighting tonight.
Titanic: Ohh hey looked who finally showed up.
Member of the Big Trains: Why yes it's the Zulus!!!
Another member of the Big Trains: Glad you guys finally made it.
They were all speaking in a very sarcastic tone, as if they were up to something.
Shaka: You guys have called me and the Zulus here for a trade and a peace treaty, I say that we get this over with already because I have better things to do then deal with you.
Titanic: Very well man. But I'm not trading nothing with you guys until you give me the stuff.
A member of the Zulus handed Titanic a little green bag.
Titanic: Thank you.
Member of the Zulus: What about your end of the trade?
Titanic: Ummm... I think I forgot it.
Shaka: WHAT?!?
But before any of them could say anything a member of the Trains comes running from behind the Zulus, he looked tired as if he were running quite awhile. He yells "Ohh NO the Jupiters have come to spoil the treaty," with all the energy he could, but it was obvious that this was planned.
From behind the Zulus comes the Jupiters looking very [bad word deleted]ed off to see the Zulus and the Big Trains on their turf.
Leader of the Jupiters: I know I do not see two of our most hated gangs makin a trade on our turf!!!!!
Member of the Jupiters: I THINK WE DO!!!!
At this point the Zulus were also looking pretty [bad word deleted]ed of because they knew that the Big Trains set them up.
Shaka: You don't want any problems Slix. I suggest you turn around now and let me and my Zulus take care of the Trains!
I figured that Slix was the leader of the Jupiters.
Slix: Nah, we are gonna finish both of yah here and now!
Titanic: Don't think so!!
He said as he snapped his fingers to signal the Alley Cats. The Alley Cats then stood up on the rooftops and they all were packed with molotov cocktails, glass bottles, and baseball bats.
I began to pull out my gun expecting that this situation was about to get really messy. Then I see a member of the Jupiters pull out a gun, and without a pause I popped out of the dumpster and shot the the Jupiter with the gun right in the knee, dropping him to the ground. With that all the gangs started to scatter. Derick shot one of the Alley Cats above him in the leg making him drop off a five story apartment. All the gang members had gotten away except for Titanic.
I grab him by the neck and put his back to the wall. I began to interrogate him. He looked very scared that I was gonna kill him.
Titanic: Wh... WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?
Me: Thats none of your concern now is it?
Titanic: No... No it's not.
Me: Tell me why you are starting trouble on turf that isn't even yours?
Titanic: I...I don't know I was just trying to have a bit of fun, trying to get our name out there.
Me: Well...
I couldn't think of anything else to say. When Willard pushed me away and grabbed Titanic and pointed a gun to his head. I could see that Titanic was much more intimidated by this.
Willard: Why don't you tell me why you thought it would be smart to double cross one gang on the turf of their rival gang? Did you really think it was smart?
Titanic: No... I'm sorry! It won't happen again.
Willard: You got that right.
Willard pulled out a little gun and aimed it at Titanic's head, as he begged for his life. I tried to reason with Willard telling him that it wouldn't be smart to take a life of someone for something so small.
Me: You really shouldn't do this. Why don't we just beat him around?
Willard: Ok we can do that if you want.
Willard kicked his head and picked him up. As Willard held him Marcus started punching him in the chest, and finished him off by punching him in the face.
Willard: There we beat him up. Are you happy?
Me: Yes doesn't that feel better?
Willard: Nope.
Then before I could ask why, Willard had quickly pulled out his gun and shot Titanic right in the neck, giving him a few more seconds of life before shooting his eye which killed him.
I couldn't believe what I just witnessed.
Clark: Well I think it's time we get back to the warehouse, what does everybody else think.
Then they all started to walk to the car. As I looked at the poor boy lying dead on the ground I wondered who the real criminal was in this case.

Re: The Story of the Last Real Cop
true..true about that last sentence i didnt know who was the real crinimal in this case, that is truthlly good poetic literature..yeah this is a very good story and i love it..THE STORY OF THE LAST REAL COP ROCKS!!
Re: The Story of the Last Real Cop
Wow.. that Willard's a loose cannon. Can't help but feel that he's gonna play a big role in the story.
Also like the gangs you're using, it was kinda complicated following at first, but it's cool to see you using lesser-known gangs.
All-in-all, going good so far, and I like I said in my last comment, I still love the idea of the story being from a cop's perspective. So yeah, just keep it coming man, there's no limit to how good this story could become.

Re: The Story of the Last Real Cop
Thanks to both of you! I was gonna add more to the story but I haven't had any ideas for what undercover stuff they can do. I know I want to use Marcus in the story a bit more next time. I need to think of a gang from the movie or something that they can spy on for the next story.
Any ideas?
Any ideas?
Re: The Story of the Last Real Cop
Gotta say, it's good seeing you taking ideas from your readers, man.
And yeah, guess I better chuck in a couple of ideas: first off, how about putting a guy actually into a gang? That'd probably add a bit to the story, what with the initiation, and what the guy gets up to with the gang, etc. Also, as I've already stated, like the idea of using lesser-known gangs, keep that up. There's a gang called the Black Hands that can be seen at the meeting (they wear a white vest with a black hand-print on), and people matching this description can be seen in the video game as flash dealers, so maybe you can exploit that and have the Black Hands as a well-known drug-dealing gang?
There's a couple of things from me, but I'm sure no matter what you type out, it'll come out good.

Re: The Story of the Last Real Cop
yeah good idea dud...yeah i would agree with dud you should but him in a gang, also you should like make him fall in love with a girl that hangs around with the gang and she gets to find out that he's reallly an undercorver cop or you could do where he sorta misunderstud about gangs and just thought they were thugs but then he finds a since of goodness and love in the brothers and refuses to take them down,or you could add in both scinaro's, and there is lots more ideas but you just godda focuse and write, see what you come up with so dont give up!!
Re: The Story of the Last Real Cop
Both wonderful ideas!!! I feel the Black hands would be great for the story, they could show a sense of brotherhood. I must admit I had no idea where to go next so im glad i asked you guys. Him falling in love with a girl involved with gangs is another great idea I will try to get the next part up this weekend
Thanks to both of you!
Thanks to both of you!
Re: The Story of the Last Real Cop
November 23, 1977
A couple days ago a undercover cop killed a young man, the boy didn't deserve it to happen to him. But it did. Nothing can be done about it now. All I can do is hope that Willard can see the boys eyes and know what he did was wrong.
It wasn't long after I had woken up that Marcus comes into my room. "Hey man, we have an assignment." he said, "Get dressed and go to the park, we'll all be there waitin for yeh."
What now? What else do they have for us to do? Kill 10 year olds swimming at the beach in Coney? Kill teens playing dice in Tremont? Well it's not as if I could avoid doing it. I suppose I have really have no choice.
I put on my coat and I go outside into the cold. I had no time to shower, I was told to hurry and get to the park. I get into the car and turn on the radio. fourteen minutes later I arrive at the park. Willard welcomes me by saying "Hey look at this ass!" "Shut up Willard" said Bill. "Ok what is our assignment?" I ask not wanting to waist anymore time.
Clark pulls out a folded piece of paper, he unfolds it and reads what it says. "Ok so this here sheet of paper claims a group calling themselves the Black Hands has been selling a drug called flash, and other items that come useful in gang life, like weapons, spray, and even women" " Okay then, what does that mean?" asked Bill, "Well dumb ass!" yelled Willard, "It means that we need to send someone undercover to get the scoop on these bastards, maybe even stop them from their lawless actions!" Bill and Willard just gave each other mean looks, it seems as if these two have it out for each other. "Come on guys cut it out" Derick said, "Lets just try to be cool and not kill each other"
It starts getting very windy, and the clouds start to get dark as if we were gonna have a storm. "Maybe we should go back to the warehouse" I suggest as I wonder why we even had to ho to a park to discuss this. "I think we should just pick someone to join up with this gang, and send them on their way." suggested Clark, "Good idea Clark!" said Willard, "Lets send the cowards Derick and Andrew. Build them some character" Willard said lighting a cigar, "Heres how this is gonna work , you two will initiate into the gang, they will ask you to do something to prove your loyalty to their colors. Then you will earn membership into that gang. You will keep in contact with us by using a public phone . These guys are very respected in the underground and gang world, so once you do your job, make sure you don't get caught. This gang also has been known for their speed and strength, so you will need to be fast and able to run from the cops, Derick your thin and in great shape so I bet you can do that, you'll also need to be able to handle yourself well in a fight, if you can do both then your gonna do great, if you can do at least one then you'll survive. Learn their patterns and routes, then in a month or two report back to the warehouse and tell us what you know, and the rest is history."
As the other leave me and Derick look at each other "You get any of that?" asked Derick, "because I sure didn't." he said with a worried look in his eyes, "Yeah I got it, i'll explain it all to you on the subway."
I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I knew either way it was gonna be very hard.
Hey everyone, I know this might be shorter than usual, but I did it that way on purpose so that I can make the next chapter longer and more interesting. I hope you liked it and if there is any ideas for suggestions then let me know also where in New York should I locate The Black Hands?
