I voted for Dud, but it was damn close. I feel that he had the slightly better writing skills, and his premise was more interesting. By that I mean that I rarely see pieces written from the perspective of police officers, and as far as I can remember, I've never seen one specifically written about the cops who busted the meeting. Meanwhile, Ajax's story after getting arrested is fairly well-trod territory. Not to say it isn't done well, but that the relative originality gives it a certain edge.

As to the writing itself, I feel that Dud did a slightly better job of humanizing his character. At the same time, however, union_jack's action scenes were done better. All in all, it just came down to me finding Dud's slightly more interesting to read, because it was hard to find anything to hate in either of them. I wish the both of you the best of luck.

I also voted for Dud for the same reasons as GramercyRiff99 said.

I enjoyed them both, and in terms of writing i couldn't seperate you. The action scenes at Union Jack did where brilliant, but Dud's story was slightly more interesting. But what picked it for me is the fact that Dud wrote something differant. It's rare you see storys from the cops perspective, and i did say i'd like to see soemthing differant, and Dud's was differant. Jack's idea was a common one, so it just pipped it towards Duds direction.

I love both peices, but i can only vote for one, and in the end it's come down to the idea, and not the skills.

I vote for Dud.
