The Warriors II - Part 1

*Continuation of events from both the movie & the game.

October 18th, 1980.
As the gates open, a cheeky smirk begins across his face, broad shouldered with a large scar down the side of his face and slick back hair.
He step's out and welcomes the air of freedom into his lung's, Ajax has returned, he think's to himself. After serving just over 1 year in Rikers Island, Ajax isn't the same...

"I'm bigger and badder than ever", he says to Swan.
"I'm just glad to see you home brother", replies Swan.
As Mercy enters the room, the eye's of Ajax gaze up and down over her body.
"Well hey, look what we have here...", Ajax chuckles to himself.
Swan smiles as he tell's Ajax he'll be fathering a child with Mercy and the baby is due in 4 months.
"I'm starting a family", says Swan.
"Huh? What about us, The Warriors, aren't we your family?" replies Ajax.
"You haven't and never will change Ajax, I guess you'll get what you want now, you wanted to take Swan's position, you might just get it", says Mercy.

Ajax leaves shocked more than angry.
He visits the apartment building of Vermin, who's just a block away from Swan.
As he goes to knock the door, Vermin come's up the stairs!
"Ajax?"
"Hey, gimme that fist buddy", replies Ajax.
"When you get out man?"
"About 3 hours ago... No big deal, I could do another year standing on my head", Ajax responds.
"Ha, same ol' Ajax, glad to see ya, come inside"

Ajax scans the room, empty beer cans, a fuzzy television screen glares at him, half eaten food, cockroaches, you name it!

"Where's your old lady?"
"Ah, she's in the hospital man, she ain't doing to well, ya know?", Vermin replies.
"Well hey, can I crash here?"
"Sure thing Ajax, anything for you brother, ...I guess we gotta get some broads here to clean up this mess?"
"Haha, I like you're thinking", says Ajax.
"Just remember, I got the big one..."
"Get outta here faggot", says Ajax with a smirk on his face.
"Let's head down to the clubhouse, see who's there"
"Best thing I've heard all day", replies Ajax.

The two leave the apartment building, as they get down onto the street, they see Lamar, wearing a Warriors vest.
"Yo Lamar, my man, what's up?"
"Nuthin', chillin', keeping an eye out for the fuzz", replies Lamar.
Ajax stares at him, his face, confused and hard.
"Ajax, when'd you get out man?", says Lamar.
"Today, when did you become a Warrior Lamar? About time you realised The Destroys weren't nothing but wimps?", Ajax responds.
"Whoa, easy Ajax, I should have mentioned, when The Destroyers got stomped out, they patched over the The Warriors, well ...most of 'em, we'll catch up with you soon Lamer, we're heading over to the club house", says Vermin.
"Solid", replies Lamar.

Ajax and Vermin continue their hike to the club house.
"Vermin wait"
Ajax sit's on a nearby park bench.
"What is it Ajax?", replies Vermin.
"I visited Swan today, he's different, it's only been a year? And now Destroyers are Warriors? What else is happening? Tell me.
"Well Ajax, you should have asked sooner, ha, I thought you knew?", replies Vermin.
"I was in the can, what the..."
"Easy big boy, it's like this... Swan and Mercy, they really got a thing going, the power of women, ya know? He never forgets where he came from and that's the important thing", says Vermin.
"Yeah but..."
"Hold on, hold on... Fox disappeared, no one knows what happened, so many rumours have been floatin' around, they think The Rogues grabbed him, but nobody knows for sure, Luther and the rest of 'em got wiped out by The Riffs, Rembrandt is a big time street artist, him and Scopes, they've got something good going, we hardly see Vermin, he's a good kid, we always knew that"
"Yeah, I know... So what about the others? Where's Cleon?", replies Ajax.
"I'm gettin' to it, quit interrupting... Cochise, Snow, Cowboy are still down and they'll be over at the club house"
"And Cleon?", replies Ajax, impatiently asking.
"Let's just get over to the clubhouse before the fuzz come down, you only just got out"
"Ah fuck...", replies Ajax.

"Well hey, check who it is, fresh off the island", says Cochise.
"Good to be back, where's the broads", replies Ajax"
"Haha, you haven't changed Ajax, still the same when you left", says Cowboy.
Snow smiles.
"Good to have you home brother", says Snow.

A lot of new faces glare over at Ajax, admiring his size, his credibility, they greet Ajax one by one, introductions made all round.
Many of the old Destroyers were there also.
"Ain't that Beansy? You fuck...", Ajax says, enraged.
Snow grabs Ajax and holds him back.
"Cool it Ajax, it's all brotherhood now man", say's Cochise.

A familiar face enters the room, corn row hair, solid built, ice cold look over his face!
"Cleon?"
"That's right brother, it's been a while", Cleon replies.
Ajax looks over at Vermin, a smile comes across his face!

The pair hug.
That night The Warriors reminisce about the old days, share stories with the new bloods and joke with ex Destroyers.
The beer flowed, the weed smoked, the music blared, welcome home Ajax!

The next day, Ajax awakes to a loud knock at the door.
Vermin, still passed out on the floor, Ajax gets up to open it.
It's little Luis from the 3rd floor.
"Hey, where's Vermin?"
"He's, uh, he's not here", replies Ajax.
"Where is he?", Luis says anxiously.
"No idea? What do you want?"
"Cleon wants all The Warriors over at the club house, immediately."
Got it, now head off home little man.
"Vermin, get up, we've gotta get over the club house", says Ajax.
"Ar-argh, I'm up, I'm up..."

Broken glass lay shattered on the floor and steps leading up to the club house, a huge blood stain, with small splatters lay amongst it.

"Cleon, what's up?", asks Vermin, concerned.
"It's... it's those fucking Turnbull AC's... They were at a gig in South Brooklyn, they got one of our young bloods at the beach this morning, he was in a bad way, he ran all the way to the club house, they smashed him with bottles, ain't nobody around but the seagulls man", replies Cleon.
"Ah, fuck, so what now?, says Ajax.
"We're gonna hit 'em back, ...round up all the soldiers you can find in the next hour and tell 'em it's a meeting at the club house", says Cleon, with a cold stare on his face."

10:18pm, October 19th, 1980.
140 Warriors fanned out around the clubhouse.
Cleon addresses them all...
"Warriors! We are at war... The Turnbull AC's have spilt the blood of our brother, they have disrespected The Warriors, and everything we stand for, we need to hit back tonight, and hit back good"
Cheers come from the army of Warriors in front of Cleon.

"Leo, break out the beers", screams Cleon.
Leo, a new blood, brings up crate loads of beers.
(Diamond Head - Sweet and Innocent) plays on the ghetto blaster while they drink for liquor courage.
One young blood, screams out, "Fuck the AC's, let's break 'em"
"Pipe down young blood, the AC's ain't no push over, you gotta be on your A-Game tonight"
The young blood just stares, stone faced and sips out of his bottle.

12:13pm, October 20th, 1980.
The Warriors depart for war.
"40 soldiers stay behind, you're gonna man the hang out, look out's on all corners", says Cleon.
"Sure, no sweat warchief", replies a young blood.
"Ajax, you down to rumble?"
"Are you kiddin' me Cleon?", Ajax replies, with a screwed up look on his face!
"Good... Now Warriors, let's roll...", Cleon responds.

8:30pm, October 21st 1980.
"...you were just listening to was "Bad Boy for Love by Rose Tattoo", a classic that'll take you back to the days of '78. Now to all you boppers out their in the big city, I've got the Tuesday night updates!
It seem's things got messy up in Pelham late last night, The AC's tackled more then they could grip, the muscle from Coney Island and I do mean The Warriors, sent a message out to all cliques planning on heading down to Coney to cause trouble, stay away from the big C.I. babies, now onto other new's, it seems The Saracens war with The Satans Mothers has taken an unplanned turn, with The Jones Street Boys teaming up with former enemies to take down The Satans Mothers after a deal gone wrong, thing's are starting to look up once again down in Bensonhurst. Over to Harlem, the truce between The Boppers and The Hurricanes is still holding by a thread, despite Police trying to fuse a situation! The Furies and The Hi-Hats are still locked in a vicious war down in Manhattan, this one is heating up boppers, keep an eye on it. ...Finally the alliance between The Moon Runners and The Electric Eliminators has shocked us all once again, with both crews joining up to go all city! Boppers, keep a way out for the The Electric Runners, it just goes to show that anything is possible in the big city, be looking good babies"

"Ha, ya' hear this? The Electric Runners, trying to go all city!", says Cowboy.
"Ain't nobody gonna mess with Rembrandt's record, just ain't gonna happen", responded Vermin.
"Fuck 'em, we got our payback on the AC's, that's all we need to worry about...", said Cleon, bluntly.
Silence filled the hangout.

"What happened to the Orphans?", Ajax asked.
"...we should've wasted 'em when we had the chance", he added.
"Ha, they wated themselves, Sully and the restav'em went to the army", explained a new face Ajax did not know.
Ajax stared at him.
"I'm Donny", the unfamiliar face said, extending his hand out.
"I've heard a lot about ya', your'a fucking legend down here", he added.
Ajax grunted and shrugged his shoulders.
"So, what's you're role?", asked Ajax.
"Scout my man, I know a lot, about a lot", replied Donny.
"Ah...", Ajax said, with a blank expression.

so yeah am the first person to comment on this fanfic. i gotta say young blood this is a really cool story and for a first try it is absolutley great nd id advise you to keep this story going it seems really interesting, i like the amount of detail you went into for how much ajax had changed since he got out of prison and i really enjoyed reading the boppers fm section- i think the way you set the dj's dialouge out was very much perfect- i really liked that aswell!! in all honestey tho i would say you shud give a bit more background to the other characters- but other than that it was perfect. by the way i know how it feels to be a new blood writer on this site lol i remember the first fanfic i ever done( i still to this day think it was a load of bull****) but everyone on this site supports u nd gives u great advice and now i can say my writing has improved a lot over these past two years and its soulely only because of the true warriors on this site x my writing has slipped a lil lately but as long as you have passion and the drive thts all tht matters- keep this up bopper

This story is gonna be a fair few parts and I was gonna get into the other characters and give them whole parts each.
I just thought I would start off with Ajax, since he's my favorite haha and because he was arrested.
I didn't want Cleon to die off ...so you'll hear his story soon.

Keep it up Kdr, it's always good to read other fans takes on the Warriors and what went on before and after the events of the movie. I particularly like how you haven't killed Cleon off, that's a nice touch!
