Okay so weve got gang logos contests and pic contests but what about a fan fic contest? I came up with this a while ago but never really got round to posting it. Now I know many people may not want to sign up for this, so this is just to see if anyone would. Post here if you want in then if we get enough people we can get it started!

Can you enter a story you already wrote and posted way back?

I just have run out of ideas for making a story, but did a pretty good story like about 4 weeks ago.

I'm with Warlord JP, if u can put in a fan fiction u did a while back, I'm in. The 1 I want 2 put in is when I was just a guest(Tylor). Would I b able 2 do that even tho I was a guest and now I'm a member?

yeah i have a fan-fic i made a while back. but no replys. and its still not finished.

EDIT: Far be it for me to hijack cr's idea, but I have a few suggestions for rules. Let me know what you think.

1. Participants in the contest are not allowed to vote for best entry.
2. Only War Chief and the Mods will know who the author of each entry is - if possible, they could be posted anonymously, so nobody wins based on popularity. Authors could be revealed after winner(s) are determined.
3. Entries that have been previously posted in Fan Fiction are ineligible for entry. Only entries posted after the start of the contest, and before the deadline, are eligible. (Sorry for everyone who has entered such fantastic stories before, but a deadline could be part of the challenge.) HINT: You can start writing your entry any time you want, but you cannot post until after the start of the contest.

NOTE: I know some people might be opposed to suggestion #3. If you want to submit something you already posted in the Fan Fic section, speak up now so everyone knows what everyone wants, and we can all agree to contest rules. What I've posted are only suggestions.

4. No vote begging, but you can announce whether or not you have submitted an entry.
5. Those voting could vote based on credibility, originality, and creativity.
6. Have a minimum length, but something reasonable. 250 words (including title) isn't too much, and is probably right around what some shorter posts are in the fan fiction section anyway. This would almost have to be on the honor system, because I doubt anyone would want to take the time to copy and paste all the entries into another program to get a word count.

Again, these are just a few suggestions that could be typical to almost any writing competition. The only reason I'm even suggesting these is because I'm so excited about the idea. Of course, if we do this, the official rules would be at the discretion of War Chief.

I would be willing to help out with the organization of this, even if it would mean I was unable to enter because of it.

Man those are some great ideas! If you want you could still help with the comp Scurvy Dog and still enter. I was thinking maybe the mods and Warchief could be the judges and you have to write about a chosen them. (ie. Write a story based on the warriors using the title ......) and so on. And no you cant enter and older fan fic. So so far we have pozzy 74 and Cubs, seeing as the others want to tnter old stories, still feel free to enter even though you cant post an old one. Also I liked the size of the story idea SD, I say we have a 200 word minimum and 500 word maximum or something.

This looks good, I'm in if it happens. Also, I don't think a maximum limit for words is a good idea, as most of the really good fics around here are much more than that.

Is there an official start or cut-off date yet? I like to know how much time I have before I decide how big to make it. Thanks.

Scurvy Dog and Myself have not decided exactly when it is starting yet but it shouldnt be too long.
