Anyone watching this new series on TNT. It's 2 1 hour episodes per week based on the short stories of Stephen King. Not All are from the book Nightmares & Dreamscapes though.

1. Autopsy Room 4 - Everythings Eventual

2. Battleground - Night Shift

3. Crouch End - Nightmares & Dreamscapes

4. The End Of The Whole Mess - Nightmares & Dreamscapes

5. You Know They Got A Hell Of A Band - Nightmares & Dreamscapes

6. Umney's Last Case - Nightmares & Dreamscapes

7.The Fifth Quarter - Nightmares & Dreamscapes

8. The Road Virus Heads North - Everythings Eventual

Everythings Eventual & Night Shift are good books of short stories too, & have a lot that have been turned into movies.

Also in Everythings Eventual : Riding The Bullet

Also in Night Shift : Children Of The Corn, The Lawnmower Man, Graveyard Shift, The Mangler, Trucks, Quitters Inc.

yea I thought Nightmares and Dreamscapes only had like 4 stories in it. and don't get the king story "the lawnmower man" confused with the movie they're not the same thing.

I am watching it.  The William Hurt one last week was pretty good.  The first one last night was just OK.  I will keep watching however.

I agree Gonz. "Battleground" was definitely the best of the 4 shown so far. The FX were awesome and the complete lack of dialogue only added to the tension & suspense. The story was as close to the one in the book as possible, since there was no dialogue between characters in the book, but we were privy to the main characters thoughts, almost like a narration. The one thing that stood out in the book was that the hit man remembers the army set from his childhood (it was his favorite toy) and is deperately trying to remember what the "special bonus features" were. He remembers too late about the commando & backpack nuke.

The second story that aired after that - "Crouch End" wasn't bad, but I found it to be a little too similar to Silent Hill.

I thought the 2 that aired last night were the weakest of the 8 stories they plan to air.

Stephen King went nuts and sued the producers of "The Lawnmower Man" after it was released. This was the movie that caused him to never again sign over a book for a movie deal unless he was attached as a producer and he approved the screenplay.

I was a little dissappointed with some of the choices that he made for this series, but I recently found out that 2 of his best short stories (that haven't been turned into movies already) - "The Mist", & "Dolan's Caddilac" are being filmed for full length movies.
