My first memory of a "bad" guy turning good before our eyes was the beginning of one of the best WWF feuds ever.  Sgt. Slaughter's protege, Terri Daniels,  was standing at attention when the Iron Shiek bashed him and started a war.

No mine was a reference to back in 1987/88. Ted Dibiase had a kid come out and offered him a hundred dollars to bounce a ball 15 times and at 14 kicked it out from under him. THe Eugene thing must have been a homage to that, people still remember it fondly.
