ok warrior fans...esp. you mr.rimmy.

when talking about computer games, theres no doubt that mgs series are the best for me. mgs 2 was brilliant with the complexity. i practised real hard on mgs 2 and completed the entire game on european exreme mode, collecting every single dog tag, with no radar and was only seen by the guards once!! i left my foot too far out when hiding under a table.

i hated watching people play it who run through fighting the guards, its really annoyed me!

which mgs you like best? mgs 4 has a 'nowhere to hide' theme, and after atching a 22 minute interview with hideo, he's gonna focus on the environmen that you cannot see. this sounds very interesting.

when i star my new job and have the cash, im gonna collect all teh warriors figures and mgs figures...solid snake is an absolute hero! i nearly went for the marines cos of him! :)

First and foremost -- I liked Raiden. I thought it was cool how raiden was like a super-sleek ninja type, with Solidus being the buff, brutish samurai with two swords. Solid Snake is the coolest, but he just wouldn't pull off the ultra-stylish feel of mgs2. Tengu ninjas people, really. Wasn't that slo-mo shot of Raiden, Snake, and Otacon awesome? I dig slo-mo when it's used right, that's why I liked Passion de la Christ, it had awesome slo-mo. Sure it was just a giant S&M flick, but dude did you see those slo-mo shots???

As far as the games, I like mgs3 the best. Funny thing is, that chase scene blew me away (I really mean this) when I first played it, but I think it really loses it's fun factor with every playthrough. The Shagohod fights were too easy, even on Extreme mode. And was it just me, but wasn't it horribly out of character for The Boss to open her sneaking suit like that at Rokojov Bereg?

I haven't played either mgs 2 or 3 on euro extreme, but I'll definietly be getting Subsistence when it comes out so I can have a go at that too. My ROMS (did I say roms.....?...I meant...GAMES...yes my...legal games...yes)
for MG 1 and 2 are really trying at my patience. my MG@ rom doesn't even run well, and lets face it, MG suffers from lack of direction and is far too open-ended for it's own good.

Have you been checkig out the Mg1 comic? I bought the first six collected into one TPB. The second volume comes out december. Oh and next month they're starting the MGS2 comic by the same people.

Not sure if it's still up and running, but check out www.thesnakesoup.com

Hate to post twice in a row but...

I'm dissapointed that Meryl will be in MGS4. I've always favored the Otacon ending to mgs1 simply because we get to see Snake's venerability and that he has really changed. But I heard that Meryl wasn't in mgs2 so kojima could show Snake's relationship with Otacon, and in mgs4 otacon will take a backseat and trade places with Meryl.

Oh and, Naked Snake is actually the best Snake. Simply because he was the only Snake who scored with a lay-day.

i hate mgs, snake is a complete clone of snake plissken from escape from new york, they copied everything about him- hair, face, voice, the eye patch on mgs3,and even the godamn name.
Imagesee what i mean? thats why they cant make a movie of mgs, because the character is already copyrighted as a movie.

yeah, the slo-mo's add a lot to the game.

the best thing about raiden was that it made me appreciate solid snake even more when i controlled him again...hideo said he did this on purpose; to big up snake by seeing him through the eyes of someone who admires him (raiden) and this totally works!!

i didn't see the comics. can you still get them...ill defo. look out for the mgs 2 comics. i loved mgs2 when snake and raiden were running through together with the ninja swords. i think the codec is the most simple idea that adds the most effect. probably my favourite part of the series was when grey fox called the codec for the first time...i thought, im not alone here in being a stealthy and camoflaged lethal killer.

they are absolute quality games. its the stealth element and trying to find alternative ways into buildings through vents etc that really excite me!!

It took me 1hr 48mins to complete mgs2 (not including the storys scenes of course)
It was far too easy, even on the hardest setting it was still a breeze to complete
The first game imo is and will always be the best :)

how many times were you caught by guards? if more than 3 than i suggest you try again! i was only caught once on european extreme mode collecting every single dog tag.

The tanker mission is probably one of the single best pieces of level design and plot scenario in a game today. Kinda sad that the Virtuous Mission didn't live up to those standards.

Oh and I have some stupid friends who are always saying "Man, when are they going to make a Metal Gear Solid movie? They should like totally get David Fincher to direct it, blah blah blah." The stories for the games are way to convoluted and contain too much stuff to be jammed into a 2.5 hour block. My main gripe with the idea is that you'd want in the movie to make your guy look stealthy, but you're also competing with the fact that you'd have to contain "boss battles" in the movie. So in the end it would just look like an 80s shoot-em-up. And the games are definetly not that.

Yes he copied off Snake Plissken. Hideo said that Escape From New York was one of his inspirations, and in mgs2 was able to show a little respect.

they cant for the last time because ofImage the ORIGINAL snake plissken from the film escape from new york made in the 1980s. thats right your precious snake is merely a clone of john carpenters fictional character. konami will have they asses sued if they made a film.

The fact that inspiration for Solid Snake came from Clint Eastwood, Michael Biehn's flashbacks in Terminator 1, and Snake Plissken wouldn't be the issue. It's the story.

No one would care if they used the name. Heck, Carpenters actually a pretty cool guy, he'd probably laugh to himself and give the o.k.
