Does anyone know of any hard ware or soft ware that can be hooked into a computer to play records, real old records and put them on cds so we can keep the old music now??
I have lots of old records that I would love to hear again, but my turntable is questionable and needles are like gold to find--really getting hard, so I figured if I could play them again and get them on cd I wouldn't have to lose my originals. any advice??

Re: soft ware/hardware
There is a lot of software to convert old records to digital...also 'freeware' from the inet.
The main question is : can you connect your turntable to your pc soundcard ??
And that depends on how old your turntable is
Or is it connected to an amplifier ?...if it is, you can check the back of your amp if there are 'REC OUT' connections.
Connect it trough that to your soundcard...download a freeware audio program and start your mission
