I'm not a "music guy."  One who knows what's supposed to be good because people say so.  I just like to listen to things that sound good.  I have no preffered genre either.  I don't care what style of music something is, only that it sounds good.  So, lately I've been paying attention to some Offspring songs.  "Gotta Get Away"  has a line that's unclear and renders different interpretations.  Does he say, "there's demons in my head" or "this dream is in my head?"  Anyway, I like Dexter's lyrics because he shows thought in them.  Sadly, after Americana, something was lost in his writing.

The Offsping are a fantastic band.
There superb in my opinion. Awesome.
Its sort of new age Punk with really tasty riffs and lyrics.
His lyrics are very good to as you mentioned.

Do you have the greatest hits album? Its very good.

"all i want" has to be one of my favourite tracks.

I own Smash, Ixnay, and Americana.  My favorite songs are Self Esteem, She's Got Issues, Gone Away to name a few.  I don't see any reason to buy later albums.

self esteem is a bad ass song! that bass lick is just sick. "I WROTE HER OFF FOR THE 10TH TIME TODAY"!

I'm surprised that nobody made a thread about the Offspring yet! They're the first band I ever really got into, and I still love them.

Although I only own Americana and the Greatest Hits, they're still one of my favorite bands. Favorite songs are Gone Away, Come out to Play, Gotta get away from me, and Self Esteem. Walla Walla is pretty damn cool too.

I have their music video collection on DVD, they have awesome music videos too! Alot of hot chicks in some!  =P~!
