Wow Mason Cryptorchild i like how you defend something you love. Very good aguments there. Getting back to buiness Mason is good for me. His choice of clothing isn't really good in my opion but its the music that counts. I reember when i was 10 or 12 his song"Buetiful People" was a WWE song or theme for Smackdown. Which i liked and appeled to me. But then i saw who the artist WAS then i was like ok he a little creppy but the music counts.
Karma for Mason-Nice Defence and giving a lot of deatails.

Thank you very much!  :D And I will never allow someone to think they're gonna tell me something that isn't true about someone/something that I love. Yes, I remember "Beautiful People" being the theme for Smackdown. That was actully quite awhile ago, but I think it was a pretty good theme choice. His dressing style (in my opinion) is pretty....odd, but I think it's awesome. And the music is what counts, but as a person, I love his personality. Though he's really different, which I think it's great that he's gonna just be himself, and not allow anyone get in his way of who he truly is. That's pretty much the main reason I idolize him. Plus his music is great.  ;)

[glow=red,2,300]karma[/glow] for you manson cryptorchild, never let em put you down, stand up for what you believe in. vermin!!!!! i know you think this is a place of opinion, but that is not always true, if it was, i'd tell you what i think of religion and christianity, and you would be offended.
you have offended many people because you give them unwanted opinions, that is why you are the one member on this site which breaks the record for negative karma, and that is why you have a lot of enemies, some very powerful ones too.
now i don't like marilyn manson, i probably hate him more than you vermin!!!!!, but that does not mean i'm going to rip down someones idol. if you do that vermin!!!!! it isn't going to help your forum status i can tell ya.
i learn't a while ago that you should never put something down in a topic dedicated to how great the something is, everyone keep that in mind for the future.

thumbs up for furies4life too, your warrior material, [glow=red,2,300]karma[/glow], keep it up

This post is dedicated to paperdollorphan! I searched for some pics of Pogo, and here's some that I found. It was hard to find some pics of him by himself, because a lot were old group pics.

Here's some by himself:

Sorry but i don't like his music at all.

Also he is aiming himself at an age group that is looking to rebel and shock their parents and older people in general. His fanbase is 90%+ 25 and under.

I was into Hardcore rap a few years ago and would buy the Ghetto boys/ 2 Live Crew just to shock my parents. When they told me it was disgusting i would tell them how uncool they had become!

Just my opinion and you are 100% allowed to tell me i'm wrong and why you disagree ( I'm sure i've been wrong some time before). ;)

No offence to any of his fans but the guy just gives me the creeps. Why the hell is his face totally white and his eyes deformed? I'm not really into rock music either so I have to say I dont like that but overall I just find the guy wierd and creepy. Once again no disrespect to any Manson fans or Rock fans for that matter. (Does Marylin Manson even sing rock actually? Its a really stupid question but im not 100% sure)

Okay SHM, understandable. I respect what you said. I am done with VERMIN!!!!!!!!!!, but I just wasn't gonna allow him to think something that wasn't even true, because it would make Manson look even worse than what he's known for already. I know everyone has their own opinion about Marilyn Manson - and I totally respect that. Yes, he's definatly a freak! But what can I say? I can't stop him from being himself. And as far as my mother is concerned about me looking up to Manson as an idol, she says it's great that I'm opening my mind. But she doesn't even know too much about him. And to answer your question cowboy rules, his music is considered 'Shock' Rock.

before reading this thread, I honestly thought the days of Manson rumors and attempts to shock parents were over.  I almost wish I was 16 again to enjoy it!

I think SHM is just jealous that I got such a pretty post dedicated to me! Which thank you again, was just as awesome when I viewed it fully awake :D
I still have some awesome Marilyn Manson is corrupting my child type talk shows on video tape and this whole thing has given me the urge to dig em out and watch them. The kids on there are  pretty funny, and some are intelligent and well spoken like Manson Cryptorchild. But my absolute fave is this 19 year old guy who's wearing a bride of frankenstein wig, bad dress with striped tights and poorly done Twiggy make up (what was with badly done goth make-up?) who had made a video of him in his room praying to "the only 2 people that understand, Marilyn Manson and Lucifer"  he then talks to a poster about how cool Manson is for "not letting people push you around" and then does a self proclaimed "RITUAL DANCE" which involves him twirling around slowly with his arms out at his side. it's the best example of a fan you'd never wanna make I have ever seen. But soooooo funny I had to share! Anyone else remember the Manson talk show era? Almost as good as the Club Kids times!

Oh gosh, that is such a funny story! Thanks for sharing that. I also liked the story you shared about the time you met Manson & Twiggy. Too bad it got deleted when the forum went back in time. Oh well, life goes on. And SHM, I do still see your post:

But anyways...to help this thread out more, I'll write more of an opinion from me, the Marilyn Manson fanatic of this forum, on him. Just so you'll all know my true feelings towards him. As much as I love him, and have a lot of respect for him, there's still somethings that he does that are hard to agree with. An example of this is - him cutting himself on stage. But he should never be considered scary. Hell, even him cutting himself in front of an entire audience wasn't particularly scary. But, if he were jumping off stage, whipping a peice of broken glass around in my face, I would be running outta there as if it were the end of the world. Now that would be absolutely teffifying! Of course he may scare people - I mean, just look at him! But he should. The general public just doesn't understand him, they see a glimpse of the world he creates, and it scares them. It's totally unsafe, nasty, that'll make you turn your eyes away. But because they don't understand it or him as a person, they get scared. You just have to understand that people fear what they don't comprehend. The next move is to learn to use that fear to your advantage. I can understand why people would want to have an argumentative discussion, but there is no need to start saying things so against Marilyn Manson. I don't find Marilyn Manson sacry at all, but to a young child, they'll probably think different. I remember the first time seeing the cover of "Mechanical Animals", when I was young, going through my young-age homophobic phase, thinking to myself, 'Oh god! What the hell is wrong with him?! What a fag!' , and about a year later, he was my idol.  Who knows? Maybe in 2 months I will be thinking 'Gosh, how could I ever like that freak?! That's disgusting!', but as for now, I look up to him as an idol, and I can't get enough of him.

He is a terrible role model because of the stuff he does.He is obsessed with the devil and will be punished when the day comes for the stuff he has been doing. My role model is a christian and will be in a much better place than the place he is right now although manson will not here he is:

Well if Manson won't be going to that "much better place", then I suppose I won't be either. Lol...Manson could probably be forgiven for all the horrible things he has done (ripping up the Holy Bible, preaching Satanism, etc.) but that's obviously not the direction he's looking in. Oh well, it's his decision. I can't really say that I want to be just like him. The most powerful idol I have ever wanted to most like, was back in the day when I was obsessed with WWF/WWE - Lita. She seemed like the coolest person possible, and I still love her for that, even though I don't like her any more, because of the type of role she's playing these days. But I enjoy watching her "It Just Feels Right" video, plus her autobiography was probably the best book I have ever read, but we'll have to see where that goes when I am done reading the Marilyn Manson autobiography. Anyways, back on topic. I would say that Kanye West is a good idol decision, a lot better than looking up to Marilyn Manson, I'll tell you that much. I hate to say this, but, Marilyn Manson is probably one of the worst people to have as an idol figure. But I made the choice to have him, and that's up to me. Maybe it'll be a decision that I one day regret. Who knows?
