I love the theme from the Warriors which is why I bought the soundtrack to it all those years ago.
However i just can't find anything like it done by Barry DeVorzon elsewhere, i know he's done film and tv scores since, but nothing matches the quality of the theme or the chase, 'In the city' is great too....but i fear he only composed and didn't play...so who was the band????

I only found one GOOD track by him since which featured some bongos, and i lost that years ago

Any idea where i can find any of his material that matches the quality of the warriors theme??? or is that the only good synth thing he did?

I think In The City was written by The Eagles (which Joe Walsh was part of) as you can get a copy of In The City by them. Joe Walsh does a solo version (which I think is better for the film).

In order to recreate the sound of In The City during the close of the film, you need to speed up the song a bit (can be done in Media Player, though I use my Creative Media Player).

I think Barry de Vorzon is a one man "band" in that it is more orchestral in that he writes scores for films.

In the City was a Joe Walsh solo project, but it has been performed by the Eagles now for many years, since Joe is a member of The Eagles.

For some really great Joe Walsh stuff, check out James Gang, the band he was in before The Eagles. Great stuff!

Shoot, yeah I was meant to check 'in the city' before i posted that...my internet is so slow though i just didn't bother....
Barry was in a band called the tamerlines, but i'd like to know who played his score for the theme, fight and chase.

WOW---that's a blast from the past. i LOVED/LOVE the james gang!!! they're in my top 10 of favorite rock bands!

well, thank you very much TCMH, as do you, i see!! after you wrote that, i put on my james gang rides again cd...boy, does that bring back some nice memories!!

i know mr de vorzon did the theme for the kojak movie the belarus file and that was done with synthersyzers.but i aint sure b2c if he was solo or other musicians performed it for him???
