Wasn't sure in which sub forum to put this but it has more to do with the actual music than the game itself. Anywho, what are your favorite video game soundtracks? And I stress origional soundtracks, so nothing like Tony Hawk because it was just other artists doing it. I mena music made specifically for the game.

Personally, I'm damn near in love with the Star Craft soundtrack, it's just so fitting and motivating. Great RTS soundtrack.

Diablo 2 also had an awesome soundtrack, very epic and suitable if a bit dark as well in some parts. The title theme alone makes me want to go out there and slay some undead!

Painkiller has a really kick ass soundtrack as well, in fact I own the official soundtrack. Great metlaish/rocky tunes to blast some monsters to. Perfect action Quake-style FPS music.

Shadow Of Rome, much like Diablo 2, had a very epic and suitable soundtrack. Fits in with the  setting and when you're in the gladiator coluseum fighting for your life and the blasting orchestra is backing you up, it's a great feeling!

Metal Gear Solid 3.

I'm playing the original Metal Gear right now via Subsistence (much better than an emulator)....though very simple, those tunes get stuck in your head too.

We had Metal Gear Solid play for the music they play for a few minutes before the bell rings.
We had video game music for 2 weeks.

We had the Halo theme.
Metal Gear Solid theme.
James Bond Goldeneye music.

And some other themes I couldn't hear due to everyones talking.

i like the getting up theme song and...super mario of course :p

i used to know a dude, that all he did in the music business, was compose music for video games.
excellent musician!!
he had me do a couple guitar part's for him.
couldnt tell ya what game, if any, they ever ended up on. LOLOL

Well, if you want to call Super Mario 3 music, well then that is my favorite along with old school Pac-Man. GTA San Andreas is pretty cool I guess.
