johnny thunders and the heartbreakers

been really into drugs, I MEAN johnny thunders 8-[ for a while now.
i know he is a complete "junkie" but the music counts i spose.
best songs are "chinese rocks" "too much junkie buisiness" and "born to lose"
no rock and roller lived harder than johnny thunders

FYI Chinese Rocks was written by Dee Dee Ramone...
I love Johnny- he looked and sounded great!

Exactly, this dude had talent and lived fast (and extremely hard) not like the other pretenders, Sid Vicious couldnt play for turd and is widely regarded as the peron who lived hardest (lies all lies) so he wasnt a true hard and fast rock n roller.
Never really heard any of his stuff with the heartbreakers (dont suppose they were any relation to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) but i did buy the first new york dolls album (aptly titled New York Dolls, buy it, its amazin) and i fell in love with Johnny Thunders in particular (not in a gay way)
he is a true legend and will be missed, ever heard the story of him stealin stuff from Dee Dee Ramone, funny as anything
P.S I DO NOT CONDONE DRUGS THEY R BAD, THEY CAUSE MANY PROBLEMS.

yes, chinese rocks was written by dee dee ramone BUT johnny ramone wouldnt let the ramones use it for some time (they did do the song eventually). johnny thunders merely adopted it as his theme tune.

you should listen to some of the heartbreakers stuff, very good (even though most of the songs are about drugs and stuff)
