Swanxcowboy, you're spot on. Thems is my thoughts too! Like you, I was a fan of The Warriors way before the game appeared, and when it did, I was totally blown away. Finally, someone picked this project up, and not only that, they did a bloomin' good job with it too. The basis of a lot of the 'bitchin' is that not ALL the factors in the movie were copied over to the game. Who cares?! I get to play as Cleon, Swan, Ajax and the rest of The Warriors for flip's sake! Would you rather there be NO game?! And 'RUSHED' is a ridiculous word to use. 'ACHIEVED' would be better. They could have done a lot worse.SwanxCowboy wrote:I can't understand why some people in here are doing nothing but bitching and moaning about how the game was too short, or too easy, or whatever else. I'm here becuase I've been a fan of the movie -- I watch it every chance I get; DVD, mind you, not the butchered up TV version -- for a good 7 years or so, and I'm 19. Not really a long time I know. So when I heard a game based on the movie was coming out, I was very excited. Sure, I had my doubts at first as to how good it would be, but after some minutes of playing it, I fell in love with it. And the fact that there's very little guns in it was a nice change of pace. Just you and your fists, what more could you want? And the mission aren't short by any means. You can't just go into it thinking it'll be a cake walk. There's strategy involved too. That was one of the best parts to me. And I like how established parts in the movie werea bit more explored in the game -- a good example would be the brawl with the Furies. In the game, you have to fight the Furies Warlord, Cobb, a twin bat weilding behemoth, while fighting about four LT's! I really liked that added bit of exploration.
I didn't think the game was rushed at all -- good games take time to perfect. And one thing about the Armies of the Night mini-game, I thought it was bad ass. It reminded me of classics like Streets of Rage. I don't think it was a waste of space. And 20 levels prior to the meeting? Christ, if you want a really, really big game, go play Final Fantasy. In total, counting the Armies of the Night mini-game, there's 24 missions. And some of them aren't exactly easy to complete. ( Mission 14 No Permits, No Parley is a bitch!) So, I think there's clearly enough missions to complete. For crying out loud, just be happy the game exists and, unlike other games based on movies, it's actually quite good.Â![]()
Now... I hate seeing new topics/posts by Newbloods about the game in the 'Warriors (1979)' topic as much as the next guy, but to see some of the higher ranks make a big thing about it, team up, babble on for ages, then give each other a karma at the end of it is just as bad. Whoop-de-doo. Why doesn't the topic/post just get deleted?

Okay, now I need my medication...
