i didn't know where to post this but were they on the riffs network. i'm just wondering.

I would have posted it in the game section because they are game characters that were not in the movie, but that's okay. I would say yes because they were a fairly large gang that once had a lot of influence over the south side of Brooklyn. When the Warriors take them out in the game, they announce it on the radio and I don't think that such an announcement would have been made unless one of the gangs was well respected.

I think they might have been because after you wipe out the destroyers they come on the radio when ur going to start next level if you listen carefully saying they r wiped out

yeh, like vermin16 said, they probably were in THE GAME as their gang was announced on the radio, but they were not in the movie because... well because they were not actually in the movie!!    If that makes sense

The Destroyers is really unknown if they were apart of the Network or not, as when listening to the radio its just a News broadcasting. The radio Dj anounces whatever is going on other turfs for example The Orpahns in the video game claims they wrecked The Warriors just gain reputation which they may have told the Radio DJ to anounce or she find out by someone else whichever, each level you go on the DJ anounces which gang is wrecked. The Destroyers could likely just be another gang with some rep. but doesn't specify how much of a rep they really have other than part of Coney. Hard to say rather they were or weren't on The Riffs network they had the rep but noticing they didnt make it to the point of being invited to the "big meeting".

Pretending they're a Sorta Official Gang, to me they weren't on the Riffs Network. Another Very Low Class Gang, "Numbers!!!", like the orphans.
Plus, above I read they were on cause The DJ quoted them, Ok. But The DJ quoted (in the Movie and in The Game) also the orphans, and as you guys know they weren't on.

thats something we wil always wonder because they r a gang made up by rockstar so its hard to say

To me, they were on Riffs network! They had probably big rep. How? Well, do you remember A bonus mission (Roots) with Cleon and Vermin? Vermin said to Cleon that their gig is getting old. Even you can see on their hangout lots of Destroyers, so they were already in 1978. a big gang (probably formed before '78.) By that time, they've probably got big rep on the streets on NY.

Virgil even said on 2nd mission, on the end, that Destroyers MADE Coney Island, so they were the strongest there. Who wouldn't have big rep by all of that?

DJ on the radio had mentioned them too.
