Got this from IGN.com:
"September 02, 2005 - Queens of the Stone Age have recorded a version of the seminal Barry de Vorzon/Joe Walsh composed Eagles' classic "In the City."
Their version will be included on the soundtrack to the Warriors videogame, based on the 1979 cult-classic Walter Hill film, and due out from Rockstar Games in October. The game will also feature other QOTSA music on the soundtrack."
Sounds good, I like QOTSA so tis is excelent news for me ^_^

Yes, it does.
But it's better to hear they're doing more than just the end/credits song.

Oh...I like The Eagles. I hope their version gets in, also.
...Which GTA had '70's music? Or do you just mean they get music befitting the era?

All the GTA's had 70's music. Vice City lacked it but im really sure about San Andreas. Anyway all the 70's music in the GTA series was either Funk, Sould, and etc which doesn't fit The Warriors at all. I can tell by the site and videos it will mostly consit of original music.

Are you sure? GTA3's Flashback station played the Scarface movie soundtrack, which was a 1983 movie. Other than that, you had stuff like techno, rap, and opera.

Thanks for reminding me about Flashback. The only thing is they won't use any music from GTA so we don't even need to think about that.

GTA Vice City - 1980
GTA 3 - 1970 (I think)

Granted, San Andreas had '70s music, but it wasn't real heavy the way this game, based on a movie made in the '70s should be.
And if you thought the music in 3 was '70s...Ask your parents for old records, that's all I can say. (I might be forgetting a station; my 3 was scratched a long time ago)
