Projectile Weapons

can anybody help me with throwing the porjectiles? I'm stuck on the 2nd mission and I don't want to shut off my ps2!
I know to press X but I do and it doesn't work. It's not a problem w/the controller because I can lock on just fine.
Help ASAP would be gladly appreciated.

Hold L1 to aim. Then press X

i never bothered throwing until you have to knock the scaffolding above chatterbox in the HiHat missions. If you just hit x, assuming it's a projectile weapon (some thing's can't be thrown), you just chuck it straight ahead best i can tell. If you hold L1, you can swing your throwing arc around until it's red then hit X while still holding L1 to hit your target.

Exception so far: beating the Hurrican bosses, you can just keep picking up bottles and hitting X to hit them....

for normal weapons you can press x & square at the same time. hope this helps
