Positive reason to get the game.

I feel that the beauty of videogames is that they allow us to do things movies and other forms of media cannot.

The Warriors videogame, may possibly allow us to do what we would have liked to see in the movie.

For me, I would love more fighting. No matter how great a movie is and how many fights it has, you just can't get enough. And that's okay. Having The Warriors fight more gangs that were in the movie, as well as the fact of having a hands-on experience with those brawls, would be greatly satisfying.

More freedom, aside from following the main story, it would be great to 'live' The Warriors. go anywhere you want, do anything you want, play as anyone you want, from any gang, and possibly set foot on any part of the city that connects The Bronx with Coney Island. I believe offering the freedom of GTA, the choice of following the movie's story, the unity + company gangs offer instead of wandering and fighting alone, as well as everything else would greatly make this game outlast the test of time.

More possibilities. What if Ajax could knock out the cop or somehow steal the handcuff keys, or if the other Warriors came to set him free? What if Cleon didn't get killed? What if the cop got killed instead of Fox? What if you could play as Luther or Mercy and beat up people just for fun?

even if we can't change the fates of the characters when we start the path of the story, at least the game is said to have a prequel before you choose to trigger the main story,
so it sounds like you can play as anyone, do anything, and let your favorite character savor the goodness of kicking arse alongside their friends as long as they want!
