Found something interesting in wikipedia.com, when doing a search on Cochise (the Indian Chief).....
Near the top of this page, there's an impressive mountain range shot.
The caption reads: Dragoon Mountains, where Cochise hid with his warriors.
Also, Cochise was from the Apache tribe. Co-incidence (more than likely), or..... ??

Well im pretty sure that Cochise from the Warriors was based on Cochise the Apache. Kinda like Rembrandt from the Warriors is based off the artist. Also how Ajax from the Warriors is based on a greek warriors. Swan is based off a swan from a beautiful river. Im sure you knew all of that though, just wanted to help you with your awesome trivia
