meeting at Mermaid Parade - Coney Island?

I'll be at Coney on June 24 (Mermaid Parade). Are you interestet in a meeting? Will see some spots together?

Couple of pointers -

:

You should amend the title of your poll. "Did you ever see Coney Island"
is not the same thing as "Do you want to meet in Coney Island". Did I ever see C.I.? Yes, I see it every day

As far as a "meeting" goes, I can tell you from experience that other than Tantive & myself, there really doesn't seem to be that much interest in holding a grand meeting of any sorts. It will be talked about, a couple of people may show interest, and then it will fall by the wayside & be forgotten.

Don't take it personal. Many people here are from other countries (like yourself) and if and when they are traveling here have a very narrow window of time that they can meet up & most likely will not jive with others who are traveling. The same goes for people from out of state.

As for the New Yorkers on here, keep in mind that we all work/have school/have prior commitments that we have to work around. I also get the impression from the couple of times I tried to set up a meeting that posting anonamously on an internet message board is as far as some of these people will go. They just really aren't interested in any kind of "get together".

But, who knows? There are over 1000 members now so you might have better luck than those of us that tried before.

I would love to be there for the parade, and dress up! Maybe I can pull the funds for a Jun06 tour of New York, who knows. I just need a hotel that is resonable priced and not too scary.

how inexpensive is it to be? how expensively may it be? I won tickets to NYC in a radio show and I'll live in Canarsie (Brooklyn).

Yeah..I understand what some of you guys are saying eg only a few show commitment etc I would just like to say ill be in NYC late July early August that is a definate as I have the flights sorted out,and have had a few hotels reccommended in Manhattan.Hopefully I might bump in2 a few of you,you never know adios

Harley wait,and plan it it around the week of Halloween in New York,so you can see the Halloween Parade in the Village,and we can all dress up.And than stay a few days to see the New York City Marathon,that Jaime is Running and root him on!!!! Yo it will be so cool!!! and we can report it on the forum,and at the same time Have a conference call with the Warchief from Jaime's Hotel Room..

I live in the UK and wish I was working so I could save the money up to get to New York. Even before seeing the Warriors it was one of my favourite cities due in no small part I think to the many films I have seen either based in New York or one of it's many suburbs. Hey you never know if I win the Lottery I may just come over there (well a guy can dream can't he, lol.
